Highest scoring first half of the season. Hawks have definitely stepped it up on offense.
Very note worthy, Powell with 14 at the half, pure midrange shooter. Glad to see Smoove take it well that he wasn't put back in mid-2nd quarter and cheer his teammate on.
Josh has me in awe with his play of late still, I've lost all hope that I've had in Marvin, and Joe really needs to give up the tough guy antics... his hand is the most taped up and gloved I've ever seen on a player, sit out a few games.
Although it's easy to point out Al choked on two game tying free throws and bricked a three to keep hopes alive, I'd like to point out the performance by the usual culprits, no shows Marvin and Bibby who shot 3-13 collectively. Both had several opportunities to hit OPEN shot which would've put the Jazz beyond reach in hopes for a win and missed each one.
Hell if you want, blame the whole team for a despicable showing when it mattered most, but don't blame Al as an individual. The guy's never been under game on the line pressure like that, even the commentators were at a lost for words when Joe didn't touch the ball on the second to last possession.
God, you're depressed. Coach Drew had to do something to make up for the lack of a SF to play, and switching was the only way to mask the absence. Though Horford on Nash was a mess, leaving Crawford to play man on man with Childress and Turkoglu wasn't anything to look forward to either.
And considering the fact adjustments were made to crawl us out of a 18 point deficit, I think he coached fairly well.
Yup, I noticed the same thing. The jumper is slightly tweaked, but the more noticeable change is his free throw routine. If you watch closely, he tucks his left arm behind his stance. Looks tacky, but hell, if it goes in, why complain?
Or, if you're not under contract AND assuming you live in the area. You can switch to Charter or Comcast, both give you the Regional Sports Package at no extra cost, since they count them as local channels.
I've never been to a preseason game, is it worth it to go? I do miss Hawks basketball, but I don't think there's any reason to go. Coach Drew isn't going to show his full offense just yet and I hate watching third rate players out on the court.
It's cute and all that Chris Paul has a little wish list, but the management get's the final say.
A team he likes will get no leverage from the front office. You always look to get the best offer when dealing a player.
In no particular order, here's some names I consider better than Marvin.
Lebron, Melo, Durant, Granger, Gay, Pierce, G. Wallace, Butler, Kirilenko, and J. Howard.
