  1. A fellow LA Squawker? Whaaaaat? I thought about going myself but... I need money so I went to work. Lol. Last time I went to Staples it wasn't as dead... but that was for a Clippers game so.... *shrugs*
  2. If Horford was truly a lite version of Karl Malone, he'd absolutely be better at PF. However, he isn't and he's not. So can we please kill the " _______ will allow Horford to play at his true position, which will allow him to be more effective" talk?
  3. So... just looking at the stats for tonights game and... how's Horf so MUCH better than Sap again? Ok Supes. You've convinced me... I will bow to Al Horford, Son of Tito and The Dominican Dirk, as the Michael Jackson to Millsap's Marlon.
  4. If Al wasn't so robotic and sad with his post moves and/or a rebounding beast, This wouldn't even be a discussion. But since he is, its absolutely vital for him to be able to take other PFs off the dribble. Even if it's from midrange. Thing is, Al rarely does that, even on centers in which he has a quickness advantage over. If you put him at his "natural position," that advantage no longer exists. For Al being what he is, Millsap gives us that and more on offense. I'm not sure if Al's defensive advantage over Sap would be that great on quicker PFs who would just take him off the dribble. In summation, if you have both at PF, as of now I'd choose Sap. Sure, Al's midrange jumper is a little better but once you take that away what are you left with?
  5. I just wanna say that Dennis' teardrop layups were forged in the fires of Asgard. Teague will never have such gifts. That is all.
  6. The difference is being terrible is part of the 76ers' direction and plan. Load up on talent and hope that it develops together. Its a crazy plan but if it works they'll end up looking like geniuses. Keyword: IF. I wouldn't fully compare us to the Falcons. Falcons do have elite talent, but with glaring holes. Coaching, o-line, defense...But still enough talent to what should be a contender in the NFC, not much has changed since that near SB run. The Hawks are different. No elite talent AND some glaring holes but with decent coaching. Still aways from contending though. I still think the Knicks have us beat in worst ran franchise though. Its practically Melo and a roster of Smush Parkers over there.
  7. So true... and high draft picks are at an even higher premium now. Hypothetically speaking, @DJlaysitup who would you propose we trade him to? What does a contender have to give us? Another bottom level draft pick? Bloated contract? We'd be better off aiming on a team in the same purgatory as us or lower. IF we were to trade him that is.
  8. I'd trade him right now for Giannis. lol
  9. I can't believe some people still doubt Herr Shredder. For Shame!
  10. I'll take your word on that Jay. I just see him looking like he's not even really trying but you may be right on the Team D end. *shrugs I'm hoping to see Payne back as well. Really curious to see what he brings as far as to the rebounding that we sorely need.
  11. If only Mike Scott could even spell the word "defense"...
  12. I was a hater of the pick. I felt we had a more serious issue at the wing (and still do)and that the selection of Payne created too much of a logjam at the PF spot. That said, we do sorely need someone to hit the boards consistently. If that's what he gives then I won't hate the pick as much.
  13. I remember seeing "Umlaut" in the chat the other night and kept trying to figure out what the hell you were talking about.... now it makes sense. Lol
  14. Teague definitely does get wherever he wants, it's pretty amazing. But imagine this, Dennis takes Teague under his wing and coaches him on layups? Teague would be unstoppable! I kid I kid.... kinda.
  15. What's funny is his assist #s would be even better if there were more conversions from his passes. I'm still not fully sold on Ferry but Dennis (his obvious silver medal) was a pick that I didn't hate and like even more now. I really want to see what he can become. That said, I definitely wouldn't have hated his first choice, "Magic Giannison," with this current style that Bud is incorporating.
  16. If that's the case, Teague still has a ways to go himself. So based on that statement, can we say that they're pretty even as players?
  17. This is exactly why I'm still a bit confused as to why Bud sat him last night. It killed the momentum that the team was playing with. But I wouldn't be surprised if Dennis is back on his mandatory 3 game DNPs. smh. Lol.
  18. http://www.nba.com/video/games/spurs/2014/11/06/0021400064-atl-sas-play4.nba/ Yea... that happened.
  19. No... I mean Marvin'd as in proclaiming him as a completely useless bust. In which he was often proclaimed as. Would you have preferred "Acie'd?" How about "Salim'd?"
  20. I wouldn't even be mad if we traded him. :)
  21. Yes... trade him. We'll never win a championship with him and his 3 minutes of play time. Let's trade one of our best defenders for another bag of fritos and 12 pack of Surge. {/sarcasm} I'd get it if he played substantial minutes over 2-3 yrs.... but a 20 year old league sophomore? IMO, It's too early for him to get Marvin'd. Also, I think Bud should allow him to play through his mistakes more. We always have coaches that have this habit of yanking young players within 5 minutes for mistake or two.
  22. Sounds like we'll soon be calling him Kent Blazemore..... Aaaaaannnnd I'll show my way out.
  23. The chill must be in his veins now because that was cold-blooded.
  24. Danny Ferry was there... he's got a tan now and is a Spurs in-house announcer. "They'll never find me HERE!"
