    NBA 2k15

i pre -ordered this digitally, and pre-loaded it so the moment it strikes midnight I can play it with no install time. I usually dont buy games digital because I think they are a rip off but this is one of the games where I am too impatient.
  4. Only complaint about Joe is that I wish he would showed up more during big games and didnt disappear for long stretches.

  6. Im very surprised a photo of the court hasnt been leaked yet. The concept art has been out for awhile.
  7. ditto. I want the red and yellow color scheme back. Too many teams have a red, blue, and white color scheme. (pistons, wizards, clippers, 76ers) off the top of my head.
  8. Its easy to say the only difference between us and the 2004 pistons is defense and rebounding but then you realize that the pistons were one of the best defenses in NBA HISTORY. the only modern team comparable defensive to the 2004 pistons are the 08 celtics and the early 2000 spurs.
  9. the hornet's owners didnt have the finances to run the team anymore so the NBA bought it from them until a new owner was found.
  10. he didnt make it. http://www.nba.com/2014/news/08/23/usa-final-roster-release/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt3b
  11. Im 50/50. I see us on the same level as the raptors, wizards, heat, and bobcats. It all depends oran how favorable of a matchup we get. Out of those 4 teams I think we match up best with the raptors and bobcats.
  12. I really doubt Bud/Ferry will persuade Millsap to take a paycut and to come off the bench by selling him on the dream of possibility being a championship contender in a couple of years. That will be extremely dumb move for him. Ferry isnt an influential figure nor has that kind of resume to demand that kind of trust. He isnt a Pat Riley or Phil Jackson type of figure who has a fist full of rings, to prove they can win and know what they are doing. Bud has been an assistant coach with multiple championship teams but has never been the one to lead them so he doesnt have that kind of power. Another point is that all the players you see taking paycuts to compete for a title are usually in a situation where there is certainty they will be competing for a championship as soon as the season begins. So you expect Millsap to take a less role and sacrifice millions on the possibility to be on a championship roster in a few years?? Besides the reason we only got a 2 year commitment from Millsap was because at the time, his market sucked so he took a two year contract in order to increase his value and try to fetch that last big payday when his contract ends. Remember this guy is about to turn 30, and has been underpaid for most of his career. This is the very last time he will ever be able get a 10mil+ year contract.
  13. I can say confidently that Millsap isnt taking a paycut to stay here and to come off the bench to bring in a guy like Greg Monroe. The only realistic scenario I see Millsap doing that is if we are bringing in an established top 5ish player. (please spare me on the Greg Monroe will be a top 5 player under Bud argument).
  14. Because if payne plays well, we will have a log jam at PF. The main purpose of drafting payne was probably for Millsap insurance/replacement. Dont think Ferry plans to break the bank to try to keep millsap, and will most likely focus on the other issues with the roster in the offseason.
  15. It would help us more if AL focused more on his inside game than to drift even further out away from the basket. We already have 4 bigs who shoot 3's. What difference will it make if we have a 5th big popping 3's? We need more diversity in our offensive attack.
  16. He must of really hated playing with jennings and j-brick if hes willing to risk tens of millions of dollars in order to force his way out. I have NEVER seen a rookie that is guaranteed to make 10mil per+, take a qualifying offer. This makes the big man 2015 Free agency class even deeper Deandre jordan Asik Monroe Roy Hibbert (PO) Robin Lopez Marc Gasol Tyson Chandler
  17. very minimum chance he will blow up the roster after a slow start. Not only because he values continuity but if we have an awful start like you say we will AL, Millsap, and teague's trade value will be at their lowest and you know how stubborn Ferry is when it comes to getting back value on assets at their lowest value. (ex. J-brick trade deadline situation).
  18. cant comment on dennis or payne with such a small sample sizes but with teague entering his 6th year I think we can begin to grasp the kind of player he will be for most of his career which is a solid but not great pg. some players do "break out" in their late 20's but im not betting on it
  19. well if you look at the top pgs in the east he can make a solid argument for kyrie being the 2nd best pg in the east. Most of the elite pgs are in the west. (In no Order) Kyle Lowry John Wall Rondo (still recovering from torn ACL) Jeff teague Deron Williams Kemba Walker
  20. this makes me question how will the market be next year for millsap now that he has developed a 3 point shot compared to a year ago, when he was a free agent and were able to snag him for 9 mil per year.
  21. Unless Horford develops some offensive moves I dont expect him to be any better of a scorer at the 4. He has zero offensive moves where he can take advantage of similar size/ smaller defenders and PFs are more use to guarding the perimeter than Centers so he will find himself less open. The main benefits of moving horford at the 4 and getting a center is rebounding, better interior defense, and toughness which has been our weakness the past couple of years in the playoffs.

    Terrible summer?

maybe cause those playoff years were filled with early playoff exits and embarrassing blowouts losses?
  23. Lurking other team forums, just about every eastern playoff team message board are extremely optimistic of jumping up to being a 2-3 seed in the east even before the paul george injury. So with Hawks fans I dont expect anything different. Realistically I see us being another middling team.
  24. just something interesting I noticed that next year free agency will be extremely deep in centers. Some notable unrestricted FAs Robin Lopez Asik Tyson Chandler Marc Gasol edit: Roy Hibbert has a PO, not an unrestricted FA
  25. teague will play aggressive consistently at the same time when J-brick stops taking bad shots.
