1. What are you basing Jalen being better at the 3 on? I don't think there is any meaningful minutes of him doing it. In college park i think he played a lot of minutes at the 5 actually 2. i think you should compare their career numbers. But i don't know who brought Bey into the discussion. No one here wants him as a starter either and they are comparable players.

I don't think Obi is a starter in this league. But I'm not basing that on a ton of watching him though. JJ at the 3 and Obi at the 4 seems like we'd be getting killed on D though. As a backup big off the bench i could see it.

We're going to have to realize that there will be no big splash this summer. The best we can hope for is that we build a roster of really good players that fit well. Still that could be big if done right. To me: Murray goes and hopefully we get a big 3&D 2 guard to replace him Capela & OO aren't really worth their combined money but if we're stuck with Capela then at least he's still effective off the bench. We have to start OO or find a replacement We need a big off the bench like Gallo was who can get buckets. Hunter - replace if we can but i'm not sure we can. I think with a better 2 guard and JJ improving it may just make Hunter the guy we always wanted him to be. But has to stay healthy. This is why bolstering the bench is key. None of this is cheap.

Yeah if the team does well not sure how they can break it up. Also seems like Conley would have been the first domino to fall but instead they give him an extension. Maybe the owners are just forgoing a second yacht for a year or two and keeping the team together.

That's not really the point. Their whole job is to build a team the right way and have buy in from key players. If they can't do the second one then the first one is impossible.

They aren't extending Conley and then trading KAT for Murray. We need to find a new dream. Or maybe get down with building a team.

Yeah it's not easy when you're just waiting for another all star to fall in your lap. If you want to build a competitive team it's not like climbing everest. It takes some vision like going out and getting Bibby because Joe can't be the PG or going out and getting Sap, Demarre, Kyle because they fit with Al. Or getting Gallo, Bog, Lou because they can provide the scoring punch and leadership that our young guys needed. Or getting Brunson because Randle isn't a great #1 option. Or getting OG because RJ and Quickley are inconsistent contributors. The right pieces mean more than they're individual talent especially when you have one star player already.

All I know is Pop and Carlisle are going to go crazy about how the Nets did him wrong and it's unfair and Vaughn is the greatest and the Nets org sucks. I haven't seen it yet but i'm sure it's coming...right?

If we get him for one more year on the QO i'll be happy with that. assuming we don't make major upgrades to the bench otherwise which we probably won't
