He has the ability, but he will never be consistent. Marv, Jeff Green, and Barnes could all be much more than what they are. They just don't have that mentality. Tim Thomas is another guy that comes to mind. Those types of guy's play seems to range from mediocre to 'good enough to make teams re-up' which seems to suspiciously coincide with contract years. No more smoke and mirror types on this team. No more guys who disappear. The Hawks have enough of those types already.

I can understand that. I also understand that the Hawks will have to trade core players to get talent back. But I can't fault Teague for putting out whatever information he felt he had to in order to have some control over his own destiny since he obviously likes playing for the Hawks. That doesn't make him a bad guy. Anybody would do the same.

Wait... what??? Are you saying Jahlil Okafor couldn't start for the Hawks? I know he had some off the court problems that should concern the Hawks, but he's a skilled center that averaged 17pts and 7rbs on an NBA team at the age of 19.

I should have worded that differently. Patterson got a chance so I think Bembry would get a chance under Bud. Bembry brings some of the same things Patterson does with better scoring instincts, length, and athleticism. He can also be a good secondary ball handler which is something this team has been lacking for a while.

If Patterson got a shot, Bembry will get a shot. He's like a taller and more talented Patterson.

Not bad. He's a do it all wing with enough length to guard two positions. Some 'analyst' compared him to Josh Childress. I had no problem with Chillz as a Hawk except for his horrible jumper. I still think more is needed though. Prince, Embry, and Chriss are all nice players but I'm hoping the Hawks get more out of this Draft.

Those are the more likely scenarios. Philly did not tank all this time just to give up the #1 pick for questionable assets. This is their chance to get their superstar and they won't blow it like ATL did when they tanked. I think the Hawks can get into the top 5 though or can at least trade up enough spots to grab Malik Beasely. I just want to see the Hawks do something other than standing pat or trading down for cash considerations.

We are NOT better than Toronto. We absolutely need to get more firepower and rebounding on this team. Oh, and we got to get some toughness from somewhere, because I've been watching the Hawks for so long, I forgot what toughness looked like. THIS is what the ECF is supposed to be.

Not necessarily. Hield, Brown, Beasely, and Chriss are all guys that can contribute. The one guy that I'd like to see the Hawks trade up to get is Brown. He's REALLY explosive and has a great motor.
