  1. I'd do that deal in a heartbeat! But that would be too good to be true. We never get those type of deals. Our only hope is if the Kings are desperate to dump salary.
  2. Ask Bud if he would take Westbrook on this team right now. Anyone who doesn't want Westbrook here is insane.
  3. I have to agree with this, but there's no way ~$70 million is going to get a DNP-CD. I do still think there's room for an 'energy' guy like Baze in the rotation though to be completely honest. Baze has good intentions, he just needs to get his game under control and understand his limitations. When he fails to do that, he becomes a liability.
  4. Baze can't dribble. When he does drive, he's out of control and either throws the ball at the basket or turns the ball over trying to make a last second pass.
  5. I agree but he was one of the sweetest shooting centers I've ever seen. If only he finished with a dunk instead of that super lame finger roll. Maybe he would be remembered differently.
  6. Honestly, he needs time on the court in an actual NBA game. I'm not sure playing against/with NBDL level talent really helps him that much. He brings too much to the table at a position of need for him to be glued to the bench. I noticed Prince has gotten a few DNP-CDs the past few games as well.
  7. Agreed. He was raw in Summer League, but the tenacity and athleticism were there. I hope he's not another permanent stash like Gladyr or Digbeu. I think a trade of Splitter and 2nd Round picks would be enough.
  8. All this big man talk has me feeling nostalgic about Hakeem, Ewing, and Robinson. Hakeem was my favorite though. The guy had too many moves around the basket. Nobody could defend him.
  9. Good question. But I can't fault Bud for giving the guy that was a tremendous asset during the 60 win season the opportunity to prove that he can be that same player after recovering from a terrible injury. But it's pretty obvious now that Korver is not the same guy, so Bud needs to make the right decision. Korver can still be valuable as a specialist off the bench. THJr provides the energy, scoring, athleticism, and ball handling this team sorely needs. He's earned the starting role fair and square. And that's coming from someone who hated the THJr trade on Draft night.
  10. I knew it had to be something. Sap is not the pouty type. Joe and Teague should've warned Sap to never play while injured and not 'leak' it to the media somehow.
  11. Feed the big man when he's deep in the post. He's not as 'washed' as some might think. There's no excuse for a team that prides itself on BBIQ and ball movement not being able to make a simple entry pass when Dwight has a mismatch. I could understand it when he had Gobert on him, but a lot these missed opportunities are just poor fundamentals with some poor chemistry mixed in. With that being said, I may have been a little overzealous with my 20ppg and 12rpg prediction.
  12. I agree, get Prince in there. There's nothing to lose. I'd also like to see Bembry get more time at SG due to his ball handling and BBIQ, but he has to get a consistent jumper first.
  13. Everyone has their limit. Players look really small when you're in the stands so I can understand someone with an axe to grind having the 'courage' to say something like that in that setting. Cowards.
  14. Exactly. How did he even injure his calf while recovering from his hip injury?
  15. That last 'lob' was inexcusable. I see right now Bud is going to have to get him under control early.
  16. Of all the potential problems this Hawks team could have, I never thought failing to make a simple entry pass would be one of them. There have been more turnovers trying to make fundamental passes than I care to recall. It's a serious problem that needs to be fixed right NOW. Bad shots while Dwight has his man sealed in the post, poor entry passes when Dwight has deep post position, and driving to the paint out of control and trying to dump it off to him at the last second AFTER you've brought your defender into the paint with you are all unforgiveable errors for a team with the reputation of having high BBIQ. I know Dwight is no offensive juggernaut, but he's almost unstoppable in the paint. And he's not even a black hole on offense. He WILL pass it back out to open shooters and cutters. How is this team not utilizing that???
  17. Tim friggin Frazier? REALLY???
  18. He's still learning. To be honest, I'm more concerned that he allowed poor shooting to affect the rest of his game as much as it did. If that continues or he responds negatively when disciplined, then you have a problem. With that being said, if things turn out like they usually do after someone makes a thread about a player on this team, then I expect Dennis to have 20+ points and 10+ assists next game. It never fails.
  19. I have a more accurate comparison: Allan Houston before the injuries. Man I'm getting old.
  20. You know Bud is a no nonsense coach when it comes to how he wants things run. This is a tough lesson but it's exactly what Pop would have done. Heck, Pop benched his entire starting lineup.
  21. He will be ok. He's going to have ups and downs. Hopefully he responds well and comes back better. If he sulks or pouts he's done. But I think he has enough confidence in himself to bounce back.
