  1. Okay this is concerning. He couldn't have done any of this nonsense BEFORE the trade deadline??? Just kidding, but he does need to take his job seriously since he is IT at PG. Bud chose him over Teague because he believed he was ready to take the reigns. Schro has lived up to that on the court for the most part but this other stuff is unacceptable because it clearly hurts the team. The Hawks flat out can't win without him so he has to be more responsible going forward.
  2. Don't let them break you man. I know ATL sports usually ends in frustration and disappointment, but when we finally break through, it's going to be epic.
  3. I call it the ole ATL sports GOT EEEEEEEEM! Hey, it's Atlanta sports man so you know how it goes. I've made that 3hr trip back from ATL mighty disappointed a few times myself. Trust me, that drive back home is a LOT longer than the trip to the game when they lose.
  4. Don't forget about the other Prince that played for the Pistons. Tayshaun was buried on the bench as a Rookie on a veteran team before his coming out party during the Playoffs. History may repeat itself.
  5. They tried? So this is what we've come to as a fan base? The Falcons "tried" to win a Super Bowl. I hate to be unreasonable but I'm ready for tangible results.
  6. The Hawks will be better going forward because of Ersan's versatility and ability to stretch the floor. They still won't make it past the 2nd Round though to be completely honest. They absolutely needed to do more than what they did at the deadline to make it into and out of the ECFs. And these reports from C-Viv about the Hawks "almost" pulling off major deals are of no comfort. The Hawks put out that same lame story every year after the deadline. We knew how these past few days were going to play out and we know how this season is going to end.
  7. Baze is still on the roster though. Anything can happen between now and the deadline. I'm looking at you Bud.
  8. He's actually good value for the 'Ghost Of Tiago Splitter' to be completely honest. We get a productive player out of a 2nd Rounder and a guy who's clearly done playing in the NBA.
  9. Hey, you should know what to expect from the Hawks by now. This team is very predictable. At least Ersan was surprisingly productive for the 76ers. Hopefully he keeps that trend up here.
  10. Players seem to forget how much winning improves their "brand". Jordan proved that a long time ago. BTW, if I ever, EVER post about my "brand" or refer to myself in the 3rd person, ban me.
  11. I misunderstood. When I saw the words "Falcons", "playbook", and "questionable decisions", my PTSD kicked in. I apologize.
  12. Our 2nd round picks (Scott & Moose) looked like steals for awhile, but apparently the magic has run out. It's time to move them on for whatever we can get before the rest of the league realizes they aren't NBA caliber players.
  13. Splitter would be in a body cast if he suffered a fall like that.
  14. I found out Quinn had taken over the defensive play calling in the middle of last season. That change happened around the same time the defense started to play well, so Cox and Smith's fates were sealed after that.
  15. They're just going to hand him Shanahan's playbook anyway. Quinn already stated the offensive plan is 'set', so there won't be any major changes.
  16. I agree with your venom towards Shanahan. He costs us this game, and for that I cannot forgive him. He chose to display his 'genius' instead of just winning the game. I hope he fails miserably with the 49ers.
  17. I am broken. I keep telling myself, "it's just a game", but this feels different. ATL/GA sports have let me down in the past, but they have never set the fans up for a fall like this one before. How do you blow a 25 point lead in football? This was a new low. I'm taking a break from sports for a while.
  18. ....and start him for the remainder of the season.
  19. I know some here hate him, but I think Carmelo may be the answer. He's a scorer first and foremost, but the Hawks really need CONSISTENT scoring right now. If the Knicks are serious about not needing a superstar in return, then Baze and the Ghost Of Tiago Splitter should get it done. This isn't a panic move. Something drastic needs to be done since guys seem a little too comfortable losing to bad teams. Lack of talent is excusable, but lack of effort is not.
