  1. But Curry got it from the 'old heads' too. That was VERY unusual, especially considering that he was playing the sport like a video game at the time. He literally couldn't be stopped.
  2. This +1000000. The sacred cow stuff has to stop. Nobody on this team should be untouchable. The Hawks don't have a player worthy of building around. I think the Hawks have good players with good character, but that's not enough to get to the next level.
  3. The truth is that anyone who is on top for an extended period of time will be hated. There don't have to be any valid reasons.
  4. There's no way he hits those numbers next season. I'm glad he feels he's up to the challenge and I do value his intensity, but he better improve his decision making or he will become this board's next whipping boy.
  5. ....and now they just scored Thad Young for the 20th pick. They are having a really good offseason.
  6. You all will rue the day! RUE I SAY!!!!
  7. NBADRAFT.NET has us picking Dejounte Murray at #12. Sexy pick but I still think the Hawks need to move up further.
  8. Thanks Jeff. Now you get to play for your hometown. I hope he does well.
  9. I agree with this but there were some rumors of him having a rod in his leg. I hope it's not true.
  10. The Hawks have traded the rights to draftee X for draftee X and ca$h considerations
  11. Technically, Lebron is finished now, so there's that.
  12. #5 please. The Hawks need to trade up.
  13. He has the ability, but he will never be consistent. Marv, Jeff Green, and Barnes could all be much more than what they are. They just don't have that mentality. Tim Thomas is another guy that comes to mind. Those types of guy's play seems to range from mediocre to 'good enough to make teams re-up' which seems to suspiciously coincide with contract years. No more smoke and mirror types on this team. No more guys who disappear. The Hawks have enough of those types already.
  14. I can understand that. I also understand that the Hawks will have to trade core players to get talent back. But I can't fault Teague for putting out whatever information he felt he had to in order to have some control over his own destiny since he obviously likes playing for the Hawks. That doesn't make him a bad guy. Anybody would do the same.
  15. You get dogged if you don't use injury as an excuse and you get dogged when you do admit to having an injury. You can't win.
  16. I hear you man but something has to be done. Teague isn't my first choice to go but the Hawks don't have many options.
  17. I'm not questioning your 'basketball intellect' so no need for the condescending remarks. I just think that Jahlil is a starter in this league, that's all.
  18. But the original post said Okafor would start with Horford. I assume with Horford at PF.
  19. Wait... what??? Are you saying Jahlil Okafor couldn't start for the Hawks? I know he had some off the court problems that should concern the Hawks, but he's a skilled center that averaged 17pts and 7rbs on an NBA team at the age of 19.
  20. I should have worded that differently. Patterson got a chance so I think Bembry would get a chance under Bud. Bembry brings some of the same things Patterson does with better scoring instincts, length, and athleticism. He can also be a good secondary ball handler which is something this team has been lacking for a while.
