  1. We already crossed that line a long time ago. Any future threads about Teague or Schröder playing well or poorly will turn into a 'vs' debate at some point in the thread. But to answer the second part of your post, people forget that Teague was battling some pretty serious ankle issues right in that December to January time frame that coincided with his average play. He played through it (albeit poorly) and down played the seriousness of his injury in the media.
  2. Look up Floyd Dent to see just how ludicrous the corruption can get. It was bad enough he was beaten senseless for no reason, but I couldn't believe my eyes when the police officer pulled a bag of crack out of his own pocket, IN FRONT OF OTHER POLICE OFFICERS, and said he found it in Floyd Dent's car. Not one of them said a word. Not one. And of course the official report included a drug possession charge. If it wasn't for the dashcam video, which they obviously thought was turned off, Dent would be in prison right now.
  3. I agree but the taxpayers will end up footing the bill. That's why the NYPD continues to behave the way they do despite how many brutality suits they settle. There is no real accountability. Heck, plain clothes NYPD just arrested a mailman while he was delivering a package because he yelled at them after they almost hit him while exiting his truck. They used the same, "Stop resisting!!!!", tactics and everything. This is a FEDERAL employee in uniform we are talking about. Nothing will change.
  4. I think people forget how much of a BEAST Iverson was. He was barely 6' and dominated at times. I know he was a little rough around the edges for some, but I never questioned whether he was going all out on the court.
  5. It's relevant because they have as good a chance as anybody in the East besides the Cavs to make it out of the East.
  6. Commentators said the same thing about the Hawks last season.
  7. Everything he said about Shanny was right though. He just said what everyone already knew.

    Better coach

Stevens is doing more with less talent.
  9. Punchface or not, this dude is legit. Great pick up Bud.
  10. He still has game left. I didn't understand why he was fazed out last season and I don't understand why they cut him now. Now I'm seeing that they cut him via text message? Stay classy ATL.
  11. And that is complete BS to be honest. They tried their hardest to give us the crappiest pick possible, but now they look like they are tanking just to give the Celts a top 3 pick. I know it's not intentional but something about that doesn't sit right with me.
  12. He was actually good as a Hawks player but he absolutely had a punchable face. If we're not limited to basketball, I'd have to add Jeff George to that list.
  13. Not really. At least not as punchable as Humphries or the undisputed #1 Alan Anderson.
  14. Yes, he's one of those guys that you know you don't like before he says one word. I can't explain it because I'm not sure if he's ever really done anything but play ball and keep his mouth shut.
  15. Thank you for using that word correctly.
  16. Well he is a decent rebounder.
  17. Please elaborate on this. I'm not sure it's fair to make one man responsible for this team's history of mediocrity. He came to this team when nobody else wanted to and made the Hawks better. There was absolutely no reason for the fans to boo Joe Johnson. What made it worse was the fact he refused to say one negative word in return.
  18. The fans booed JJ mercilessly whenever he came back here for reasons unknown. It would be hard to not take that personal. I'd be REALLY surprised if he came back.
  19. I agree on not getting rid of Teague just to start Dennis. I remember when people couldn't wait to get rid of Al Harrington so Marvin could start. They said Harrington was holding him back. It turned out the only one holding Marvin back was Marvin. There's plenty of minutes at PG to go around. Don't rush into a poor decision.
  20. I do miss the passion and fight the Hawks used to have during that 1st Round Playoff series versus the Celtics. That Hawks team had heart but the coaching was pretty poor. This team has decent coaching, but it's almost too clinical and emotionless. It was this team's razor sharp execution that made them so fun to watch last season. Without that, there's not much to get excited about to be completely honest. It's just a bunch of guys missing jump shots and not rebounding the ball which makes for some pretty bad basketball.
  21. I honestly think the trade was a favor to Mack. Bud wanted to give him a chance to shine where he was needed. I can't fault him for that. But there has been a pattern of 'helping' out other teams. When do they return the favor???
  22. The wheels have fallen off and I'm not sure why. I don't mean to be all doom and gloom about it, but these guys are moonwalking down to the 8th seed which equals an automatic 1st Round exit.
  23. The one not playing on a sprained ankle?
  24. Ferry benefitted by getting fired after the 60 win season. He isn't around to take the blame for the blown 1st round draft picks, free agency failures, and the fact this team is comprised of mostly NBDL level players. Now some of that is on Bud too for his poor offseason, but it's a culmination of poor team management over the past few years (I'm lookin' at you Ferry) that's led to this team's lack of talent and toughness.
