    True, but Pop has done similar to Hall Of Famers when he feels they aren't giving 100%. I'm not sure that approach would work with a fragile Hawks team though. They would just pout.

    Man I hope so. It's sad that my expectations are so low, but I'd love to see a repeat of that Celts series. I made it to a few of those games and the Philips crowd was as into those games as any Hawks game I've seen. That Hawks team was flawed but pretty scrappy, at least on home court.

    But do you really think that will happen though? Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely LOVE for that to happen, but these guys have proven over and over that they are soft when it matters most. Even the '07-'08 Joe Johnson led Hawks forced a stacked Celtics team into a 7th game when many felt they didn't even belong in the Playoffs. This Hawks team is at least as talented and 100% better coached. All I ask is that they show some grit and not get run out of their own building on Friday and Sunday.

    That bothered me last season as well. They just took the beating and just moped off the court afterwards. Where's the fight? Where's the pride? Where's the on court leadership to rally everyone to step up?

    I agree with this to a point. But if the 'basketball guys' aren't doing what it takes to improve the team, ownership has to step in. WLOC when we are consistently dominated in the Playoffs is unacceptable and a sure way to kill the fan base, or what's left of it.

    NOBODY is untouchable. Ownership needs to do whatever it takes to bring an NBA Championship to Atlanta. If that means some fan favorites have to go, so be it. But what can't happen is the WLOC approach we've seen for almost 10 years.

    I know, but some posters seem more about, "my player did good so my opinion is validated", than about the team. It gets tiresome.

    If they're going to steal one on the Cav's court, this is the one to steal. The media would eat them alive and have them pointing fingers.

    REVENGE RAMPAGE!!!! Or at least I hope it will be. To be honest, my MINIMUM expectations are that they go out fighting and not with their tail tucked under like last season. If they can't steal this series, at least make them EARN their trip to the ECF. The Hawks have absolutely NOTHING to lose, so they may as well leave it ALL on the court this time.

    I'm not saying that. That slap/hit by IT was waaaay out of line and I would've had no problem if Schro punched him right in the mouth. At least it would've ended right then and there for BOTH players, especially after the refs looked at the replay. But what you can't do is disrupt the team's flow trying to retaliate or mouth off to your coach when he tries to get you under control.

    But that didn't happen and Dennis hasn't responded well. Don't get me wrong, I love intensity, but he has to control himself as far as his play and his mouth. Let's be honest here, he's not exactly a 'clean' player himself, so he shouldn't be surprised if/when things get physical. If you're going to dish it out, you have to be willing to take it.

    If that was the play Bud drew up to win a Playoff game on the road, that's just pathetic. The issue with having a bunch of nice, coachable guys is nobody will divert from the play even when it is pure trash. A 'fake' screen from Kyle Korver?

    It wasn't stage fright. It was a combination of the Hawks expecting Boston to foul and poor execution after Boston didn't foul. This isn't just a Teague problem. This team has sucked at end of clock/regulation plays all season no matter who has the ball in their hands.

    Thomas is a beast and has been all season. I respect what he brings to the table at 5'9" as far as physicality and fearlessness.
