Premium Member mrhonline Posted September 8, 2005 Premium Member Report Share Posted September 8, 2005 Because they're rebuilding and he would take minutes away from their new guys.

Moderators AHF Posted September 9, 2005 Moderators Report Share Posted September 9, 2005 I don't remember his name, but I think they drafted a swingman with the 16th pick in the draft.

Moderators AHF Posted September 9, 2005 Moderators Report Share Posted September 9, 2005 No doubt, I think they suck. But they probably want Joey Graham getting those minutes. Not like they will be respectable with Murray. He probably doesn't want to be there anyway.
Premium Member Diesel Posted September 9, 2005 Premium Member Report Share Posted September 9, 2005 Talent wise, Murray is over the hill and he's always injured. Toronto isn't going to win any games with him on the floor. I think what you will see in Toronto is: Charlie V. , Bosh, Graham, Pete, Alston as either the starting 5 or the 5 that gets the most minutes... Arajuo might get minutes at C... thesource966
With a starting five of Alston, Peterson, Rose, Bosh and Villanueva the Raptors would have a decent bench of Eric Williams, Joey Graham, Matt Bonner, Sow and Woods. Not that it really matters because the starters will play 35-40 min. a game. Raptors fans may be shocked to learn that GM Rob Babcock does not see his team improving this season. He told a Toronto newspaper he does not expect his club to improve on last season's 33-49 record, given the influx of young players on the roster.
