It's funny watching games on LP and hearing the other teams announcers. They give Lue a lot more credit than the people on this board. Once when he went to the bench in the second half they said he had been their best player for the game. They were singing his praises all night.

But of course on here nobody notices the 21 pts and 6 assists.

and yet again, he was abused by the other teams PG. Mike James probably had a career game tonight. 2 nights in a row the other teams undersized PG comes close to a triple double against Lue. That is a huge reason why he needs to be our backup PG that gets 1/3 of the PG minutes, looking to score while he is in there. Thats pretty much all he does anyway. He has an AI personality where he doesnt get his teammates involved nearly enough and is always looking to score for himself. In the right role he can certainly flourish, but that role isnt as our big minutes PG thats for sure. Unfortunately he is the best we have right now.

LUE has become a defensive liability every since last year when Woody let him be a scorer, because we needed scoring so much!!! Now he can't stop an injured PG that's not playing. I mean he really sucks on defense now. I remember when he only played defense in LA and gave AI fits in the playoffs. That gave him a reputation that he wasn't really deserving of, DEFENSIVE stopper. We should get a 3-way trade with LAL and IND, since LAL wants Artest and Phil loves Lue.

ATL sends: Al + Lue

ATL receives: Odom + IND's 1st

LAL sends: Odom

LAL receives: Artest + Lue

IND sends: Artest + 1st

IND receives: Al

He IS the backup pg, and his D is no worse than Harrington, Zaza or Childress. Everyone was getting lit up tonight, including JJ. They were taking a lot of long jumpers and making them.

Lue got 6 assists tonight and 5 last game, playing 30 minutes. That isn't bad. And tonight he got 21 pts on 10 shot attempts.

It is funny how the announcers can see what you guys can't.

Of course they need a staring pg but they don't have one. You can't blame Lue for that since he signed here to be JJ's backup.

Lue played 25 minutes

James played 31 minutes

Peterson played 43 minutes

You think Lue was guarding them from the bench? Do you think he was guarding both of them at the same time when he was in the game?

Toronto scored 35 pts in the first quarter. Was that Lue's fault? He doesn't start in case you forgot.

a) ivey is our best pg defender, something we SORELY need

b) ivey comes out and scores 2-6 points in the first 4 mins of every game and then gets benched the rest of the half...how can he show he can play when he gets benched after doing well? maybe those nights he's on he could get 20pts if he got 30mins
