Premium Member Diesel Posted November 4, 2002 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 4, 2002 My experience watching the NBA tells me that tough matchups are usually those teams that are very similar to your.... Like Detroit/Chicago... LAL/Celtics... and even LAL/Utah (Shaqfu vs. Mailman). However, our toughest matchup is not Sacramento... They're just better. BUT New Orleans. We are the mirror imagine of them. Davis - JT Wesley -Newble Mash - Big Dog PJ - Shareef Elden - Theo. Magloire - Nazr Alexander - Glover Lynch - Ham Where we have an advantage with SAR, they have one with Wesley. I think all yr long this will be our rival. Might as well make it like the Falcons and Saints. In the West, our match is ...... Probably Seattle.
Guest
I think if JT's cuts down on his TO's and puts up the numbers he has then he and Baron are a toss up...Barons jumper is even more in- consisant than JT's. I think newble has a chance to hold David to 10 points and get 10 points of his own... Mash vs. Big Dog is close...Mash is a better allround player, but Big Dog is alot more consisant shooter. But guys like Jalen Rose and Jamal Mashburn always gives us problems.Ever notice that? I have to agree with in you....In the west I think the Suns will be a rival for us... JT vs. Marbury Newble vs. Joe Johnson(although this guy hasn't impressed me) Big Dog vs. Shawn Marion Shareef vs. Amare Stoudamire Theo Ratliff vs. Big Jake Ham vs. Bo Outlaw Dion Glover vs. Penny Hendu vs. Googs
swolehawk2
I would put Ira on Marion and let Dog guard Johnson...no need tiring Dog out on the defensive end.
BIGBIRD
Wouldn't you give us a advantage with Theo over Campbell if he stays healthy. Also don't forget Hendu and Crawford for bench depth. I would like to say i have followed this board for sometime and have enjoyed it. I am happy to be able to findly join in. cyman3
i played this game for SNES a while back... and in the game, it told us the RIVALS for each and every team... they said that the RIVALS for ATL HAWKS = CHARLOTTE HORNETS... i would love for us to create some noise against the HORNETS and have a rivalry going (like the NY/MIAMI back in the day). that be FUN!!!! we match-up pretty evenly against them IMO. 1)Davis/Terry = on any given night, one can dominate the other. i say they even, 2)Wesley/Newble- Wesleys offense is good, but so is Newbles DEFENSE! i say they even, 3)Mash/BigDog - if Big Dog keeps it up, theres NO COMPETITION here... big dog! if he plays like he did in MIL (which is good, but not as good)... they even 4)Brown/Abdur-Rahim- While i think Brown is very underrated, Abdur-Rahim is an ALLSTAR! 5)Elden/Ratliff- wheres ELDEN??? i read some box scores on NO Hornets, and they have MAGLOIRE starting.... but if Eldens still there, i think its a slight edge on RATLIFF. Magloire = combo of Hendo/Mohammed Alexander = Glover Lynch = Ham Coach = Silas is pretty good... got to give him that! I'd say out of 10 games, we should have 5 against them!
