If Belkin takes over is Woody gone too?

I think that Woody has just been doing what he was asked to do and that is coach the team. Belkin was there when he was approved to coach the team. He never spoke publicly about the ownership situation.

Loosing Woody would easily be the least of the Hawks concerns at that point. He is easily replaceable.

I would say probably not, unless Belkin just had someone else. Woody has always gone out of his way to avoid having an opinion on the ownership matters.

Sure, he is living his dream of being a head coach in

the NBA. I'm sure almost every assistant has this same

dream. That's their love of the game.

Now that he's "Been there and done that" why would he

really want to stay on when the ship hits the sand, and

it seems to be headed there, fast.

He is now an experienced head coach, although his success

has been limited. He now has a much better chance of

being hired, should another opening come about, and

we know that this will happen, over and over again.

With all the changes sure to come about, why stay ??

I have no doubt Woody would be on his way out the door almost instantly. Woody and BK are closely tied together and Belkin can give the appearance of "trying" to improve the team by hiring a new coach much more inexpensively than he can be investing in players.

Since we all know BK will be gone, another GM (M.L. Carr as reported) will come in and make his mark on the team right away and hire one of his people.
