Kemp arrested for marijuana posession

it's sad to discover the awful reality: Shawn Kemp, a six time all-star, remembered for all of us in our late 20's early 30's as a poster child for the X generation, was arrested again with marijuana in his car.

Kemp, 36, was supposedly trying to reestablish himself in the world of basketball, but apparently his will isn't strong enough to cut that crap. He was even mentioned last year to come to the Hawks, and word was that he was in 90, 95 % of the 1996 "Reignman" who reached the NBA finals w/ the Sonics

looks like sometimes a man cannot realize the gift god gave him, the way it should.

the guy coulda been a top 10 PF of all time. very similar to PENNY HARDAWAY, but different excuse/reason. Penny was limited w/ injuries and Kemp with his personal issues.

i dont think hes ever coming back to the league.

guy coulda been like MALONE and play for ~2 decades if his head was on right.

Why lump in Mookie with those guys? He didn't have his career ruined by drugs like the JR, Birdman, Tarpley, and Kemp. Griffin's latest was much more ridiculous than anything Mookie ever got in trouble for doing. He just doesn't seem to fit the mold here.

Why not do someone like Michael Ray Richardson or John Lucas for the PG spot?

When Mookie was caught with Marijuana, I don't think he was even suspended.. I think it happened during the offseason if I'm not mistaken...
