Gray Mule
That # 11 draft pick - - What if that pick turns into a lottery winner - Hawks don't get it if it's 10 or under - No pick there. Then, knowing our luck, we get # 4. Hawks loose again. No picks this draft! But, come next draft, we know we will have at least one pick - Can't trade first round picks two years in a row. That other pick, the # 11 we talk about, will still be somewhat protected for a long time. Why didn't we do that with our pick? Oh, well. Cheer up. This may not happen - - But it could. As I say, knowing our luck - - - -
leftwich
It is highly, highly unlikely that the Hawks will not get either pick.
AmishBoy
Gray, this would really be a hard pill to swallow. We would easily be on the level of Browns fans in terms of suffering if this were to happen.
Seano
I thought if we didn't get Indy's first rounder this year, we get it next year? Is that wrong, and if so- then what the hell did we get out of the Al Harrington trade?
BusBoyIsBack
It's less than 2% chance we get neither pick. But for some reason I still fear those odds.

Premium Member Diesel Posted May 19, 2007 Premium Member Report Share Posted May 19, 2007 I think that's a possibility. Somebody says highly unlikely?? It's likely. In fact, because the fix is always in and Stern knows that Indy is going through rebuilding soon, this just might happen. The good news is that we will get both picks next year. Indy's pick and our own. I don't think we will be so bad next year, but Indy, might be. They will have a new coach and they will have a young team. That's a recipe for the lottery. Unless they get Oden... I think the real question if we miss out on #11 is what does Indy do with JO? What do they get? I heard the Minnesota fans clucking about trading Foye, #7, and Filler for JO. This offseason will be fun to watch.
CBAreject
If we lose both picks, I will come on here and make a post that night. The subject heading of that post will be: FFFFFFfUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!
