More trouble for Vick

Taylor must be joining the witness protection program. that's not too far out there if you think about it.

a. Vick is accused of being part of an organized crime ring. there's alot at stake for alot of people here outsideo f Vick

b. Vick is beloved in that area

c. Vick is probably the richest guy anyone knows personally around there

d. Vick gives a bunch of money to the local youth programs so even law abiding people are going to be pissed at "T"

If Taylor agreed to take the fall he could here. he could because he was the guy who set the thing up from the beginning. he could profess his guilt to the FEDS and exonerate Vick. he'd be set up for life coming out of prison. he'd be looking at less than 6 years.

on the flip side he can be out in 6 months and fear for his life and that of his family. I think Taylor would face reprisals without Vick behind them because he is so loved in that part of the country.

Good point. Vick sounded mighty confident back in April and he was reported to appear unusually calm when he entered his plea. Everyone assumes that whatever is about to happen will harm Vick but I wouldn't be surprised if this may actually turn out to help him. Vick swore loyalty to his "crew" and that usually works both ways. He has obviously been taking care of these guys since he got drafted. But again, all of this begs the question....WHERE IS DAVON BODDIE???? Wasn't HE supposed to be the focus of the original raid in the first place? Wasn't he living at the residence at the time? Why is he NOT one of the defendants in this case? confused.gif

I was listening to a sports radio show yesterday and they had a criminal defense lawyer who was asked that same question and he said he believes Boddie is the government's star witness and that's why he was no indicted with the rest.

Exactly...there are consequences to ratting people out. IMO MV blew it early-on by throwing his cousin under the bus.
