Premium Member Diesel Posted April 16, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 16, 2003 Hawks vs. Hornets in N.O. I think the Hornets are still jocking for position with Indiana. Indiana won last night and the Hornets are 1 game back on a 4 game winning streak. However, if they have something to play for, we will see the truth about this big Dog absentee issue. We will see if this team can win on the road vs. a team that's above .500. We have had an easy time with N.O. so this should be a winnable game. However, if we lose, it means that all that speculation about Big Dog is baseless.
Premium Member mrhonline Posted April 16, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 16, 2003 Philly-Washington play 1.5 hrs ahead of the Atlanta-NO game. Depending on how long the "bow down and worship Jordan" halftime show is, the 76ers could have locked up the #4 spot before the end of the Atl-NO game... In that scenario, it's unlikely that Davis, Mashburn, Magloire, et al. play in the second half...
Guest
If we lose tonight againest a better Hornets team that means we aren't better without Robinson...lol We'd lose no matter if Robinson was playing tonight or not because the Hornets are better and they have something on the line. If we win tonight I'd be very surprised.
Premium Member Diesel Posted April 17, 2003 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted April 17, 2003 Nope Wrong. We have had an easy time with the Hornets up until tonight. YOU DO THE MATH.
Guest
I did and I figured up all the turnovers the Hawks had...I knew we wouldn't win and Robinson wouldn't have made any difference..Our road record is terrible no matter if he plays are not. You're reaching for straws basically. " We have had an easy time with the Hornets up until tonight." So we beat them all three other times we played them? I don't think we did....I believe the series was 2-1 and that is far from a "easy time" get real. What I saw is that Shareef has been ineffective for a while and doesn't appear to have any confidence(passing up shots he should take)and really hasn't done much of anything lately.....We no productive bench. And lets face it...NO PG....What's Darvin Ham doing taking so many shots? I'm surely not convinced that Robinson is the player we must have...You have nothing to backup it up.He's not even a good basketball player. You have to be able to dribble to be a good basketball player. If you didn't have to pay Robinson I'd cut him.All he is really is Rodney Rogers taking more shots.
dj_me
Rodney Rogers is better.
Premium Member Diesel Posted April 17, 2003 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted April 17, 2003 My point was that the only reason we've been winning is because we have played some sub .500 teams at HOME. How am I reaching for straws? This and the lost to Boston and the lost to Detroit and the lost to NY is just further Truth that what I say is true. If we're not playing Cleveland at home... then we probably will lose without Big Dog. And it's not because of Big Dog, it's because we need that scorer. [censored], it can be Harpring. But don't tell me that we can do fine with TY CORBIN Jr. playing SF. Sheez... I heard TCJ say... "I got 5 on it" last night. All of you who got excited over his career high 23 point game the other night and started saying.... TCJ is better than Big Dog??
Premium Member mrhonline Posted April 17, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 17, 2003 This is absurd...Why are you throwing all your chips on one game? You're acting like we would just waive Robinson and play without him...The idea all along is to trade Robinson for a 2nd or 3rd scoring option that will pick up some of the load without all the baggage. You know this. Why the 'tude? And I know it might be a shot to your newly-formed ego, but Hotlantadude is right - with Big Dog you don't know whether you're gonna get 3-15 or 12-19...but you do know this, he will bring little defensive effort, no work ethic, and no ballhandling skills.
