Johann
Steve Belkin has the gonads to hire tricky lawyers and pull daring legal stunts, and almost ended up with 2 franchises and the rights to Philips Arena, for next to nothing! And kudos to the Md. judge who had the acumen to recognize and reward true sleight of hand.

As far as I know Steve Belkin has never murdered a baby, kitten or a puppy, and he deserves some credit for that.
TheDude
I would like to personally thank Steve Belkin for not being related to me in any way.

Moderators AHF Posted November 16, 2007 Moderators Report Share Posted November 16, 2007 Belkin appears to have a very sharp mind for maximizing his position and is proactive in his passionate quest to become owner of the Hawks. His clearly thought out plan to hire someone to assess the value of the team and then to lodge a protest about his own hired gun's assessment before he had even read it was brilliantly conceived and executed. If he had only put in a "first in time, first in right" sort of clause into the buyout agreement on this issue, he would be the owner of the Hawks today.
