Seano
Oh man that's awesome. 25 grand to Paul Pierce is probably like a dollar to you or I, but still it's the principal of the thing and the message sent. Don't act like such a creep out there....
Guest
That should put to rest anyone thinking that it was a 3 or anything other than a gang sign. Oh wait, these are Celtics fans so nevermind. Here come the conspiracy theories...
Premium Member hawkman Posted April 28, 2008 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 28, 2008 Wow. I'm surprised anything was done about it. The media didn't jump on the whole "gang sign" thing at all. An incident usually has to get media attention before Stern steps in.
Admin capstone21 Posted April 28, 2008 Admin Report Share Posted April 28, 2008 I figured something was going to happen but it was going to be kept under wraps because the NBA wouldn't want to promote the sign stuff.
Johnnybravo4
On the other board, there are Celtics fans actually trying to argue that Pierce was saying "It is only game 3"

Swatguy
It should have been a $125,000 fine.

jhay610
That...is....awesome. So according to Celtic and ESPN logic, now that it has been (pretty much) confirmed that PP was throwing up his set, I guess the league ROY will be hot and go for 40 and 20 tonight!! Represent for that DR clique Al!!!
dalamchops
Quote: So I guess it's official: Paul Pierce = fake Blood. fake crips, the sign was BK, i don't think he'd flash that being a Blood lol.
Seano
Rivers and Ainge are both saying the fine will be appealed. They're claiming that it was NOT a gang sign, but rather a gesture that Pierce supposedly makes before every game- a gesture they claim symbolizes "blood, sweat, and tears". Yah, riiigggghhhhtttt....and I'm the resurrected ghost of Princess Diana.
Swatguy
Quote: So I guess it's official: Paul Pierce = fake Blood. Blood comes out of Crips. Crips let Bloods out. You cant have Blood without Crips but you can have Crips without Bloods. Its good to know what you talk about.

This ain't the street, its a billion dollar business and Stern will not let them forget it. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
