mattlanta
15 is a bit too long for me. I've seen a lot, and I'm a big fan of the horror movies, but most of the horror movies these days are, what I consider, suspense instead of horror. I'll give you a small list of my favorites, but most of these don't go in any particular order: -The Ring -The Grudge -The Blairwitch Project (I didn't know this was fake at the time I watched it, so I thought it was so creepy.) -The Exorcist -The Exorcism of Emily Rose -The Others
NJHAWK
Halloween and Halloween part 2 , Friday the 13th part 2-4 and part 6. My Bloody Valentine. Mike Woodsons coaching. 9 out of every 10 trades proposed by Diesel.
frosgrim
Carpenter's: -Prince of Darkness (one of my favorite movies- great concept) -The Thing -Island of Dr. Moroux (the original)- black and white w/ a lot of shadowy filming-great film noir combined with a mad scientist who turns people into animals -Original Friday 13th (saw it young and it was great then) -Jaws (couldn't swim in the ocean after seeing it) -Halloween -Metropolis -1984 -Jeepers Creepers (I know its sort of retread, but it got me right were a horror movie should) Can't think of any others today... Admin chillzatl Posted June 4, 2008 Admin Report Share Posted June 4, 2008 I've been a huge horror movie fan since I was about 6 years old. My list is vast. The Exorcist (also enjoyed 3, but it's a different type of movie) Halloween Friday the 13th 1-2 Hellraiser 1-2 The Thing Invasion of the Body Snatchers (70s version). Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1-2 The Ring (US version) American Werewolf in London Evil Dead 1-2 (though 2 is just a remake of 1, it's the better of the two) Dawn of the Dead (original) Nightbreed Alien The Howling The Descent The Reanimator Phantasm Blair Witch Project (great the first time at least) The Shining The Omen The Amityville Horror A Nightmare on Elm Street Rosemary's Baby 28 Days Later Hell Night Boogins There's probably 25 more I missed but that's what popped up off the top of my head. Plainview1981
I watched The Others last night and wasn't as impressed with it as I used to be. The ending is pretty good, but I don't think this movie holds up on repeated viewings. As far as Friday the 13th goes, I always liked part 3 the best. I hate the original and the remake of The Amityville Horror. Just not very good. I liked 1 and 3 of Freddy. The other sequels are mostly below average.
