Premium Member Diesel Posted August 4, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted August 4, 2003 I'm just thinking about something here.... Would you take Vin Baker to get Paul Pierce? I mean, if it were possible, would you complete the deal of: SAR/Theo to Boston for Vin Baker/Paul Pierce. I'm just wondering what kind of things people would say. Boondocks
In a ny minute, love "the truth" but like Danny Ainge said when asked about all the rumors concerning Antoine Walker, everyone is available for the right deal if it comes along except the cornerstone of our franchise, Paul Pierce. cyman3
Paul Pierce is one of the best NBA 2-GUARDS in the minds of the average NBA FAN. To the celtics, hes their Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady. Would never happen. Celtics said that pierce is untouchable. Shaq called him "THE TRUTH" that being said + the question "Reef + Ratliff cant go to the playoffs in Atlanta what makes us think theyre gonna make the playoffs in Boston?" comes up so Boston wouldnt do it (and no Reef/Ratliff/Walker prob wont get it done since we had Terry/GRob). with those 2 in mind, i dont think it'd happen.... ------------------------------------------------------ Tracy McGrady (the best SG in the EAST) PPG 32.1 RPG 6.5 APG 5.5 SPG 1.65 BPG .79 FG% .457 FT% .793 3P% .386 MPG 39.4 Paul Pierce PPG 25.9 RPG 7.3 APG 4.4 SPG 1.76 BPG .78 FG% .416 FT% .802 3P% .302 MPG 39.2 if Pierce shot a little higher %, he'd prob be mentioned in the same class as Tracy McGrady/Kobe Bryant. Premium Member Diesel Posted August 4, 2003 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted August 4, 2003 I understand that.. BUT Ainge needs some wiggle room. Getting rid of Baker would mean a lot. Then think of this lineup: Theo/SAR/Walker/Brown/Anderson....
