d2v16DKG
:no-no: It's clear that Bibby still is not right and the Hawks are suffering for it. AC played great for the last three minutes! Josh Smith was a non-factor and dogging it at the end. We couldn't hit the broad side of a barn until it was too late! The bottom line is the Hawks should not be losing to the Knicks!! Gray Mule
I told you! I told You! Josh Smith - - Free throws: 1-3 = 1 point. Three point shots -- 1-2 = 3 points. Dang. He's more dangerous from the 3 than from the foul shot line. And, tonight he was 7-10 and 16 points. BUT: 0 assists 0 blocks 0 fouls 2 rebounds 1 steal 4 turnovers Can't blame him for all the bad things that happened, but he sure did his part. Couldn't stop them. Where was the defense? Couldn't buy a 3 for so long - And the Nickerbockers did hit theirs. Sleepwalk for so long to start the 2nd half. :no-no:

Devon
Everything you listed Gray Mule is a direct result of HORRIBLE coaching. A good coach would've either benched Josh SMith a long time ago or worked his a$$ into playing shape... At this point in his career Josh Smith is a former Slam Dunk Champion.... that's it. If player development were comparable to say Sculpting (Molding things from raw putty into Finished Pieces) Mike Woodson would be about as qualified as a Blind, Armless, Autistic Midget. This all starts with Woodson's OBVIOUS deficiencies at the Head Coach position.

Gray Mule
The free throw nut: ME. Hawks missed 5 free throws. Hawks lost by 4 points. Yep. Made a nice %, I guess. Still, those 5 points we left on the line, added to what we had would have made the Hawks a one point winner!! Doesn't seem like much, missing a free throw here and there. Don't really expect us to be perfect there. But, dang it, if we were, we win the game. Too many bad things happened to gripe just about this one thing. They count. They are a gift. Guess that's why they call them "free" throws. Knickerbockers played their type game. Hawks played the Knickerbockers type game. Our worthy opponent set the pace. We followed. They hit their shots, especially their 3's. We didn't. Hawks went to sleep just before the half. Well into the third quarter, the Hawks had scored 4 points as NY ran away and hid.

This guy is making 11 mill a year... What would Popovich say to Duncan if he was in a rebounding slump?? Edited March 5, 2009 by Murat1
HawksFanInNYC
I was at the game tonight and Josh Smith was an embarrassment I told my friend before the game that he would take bad shots repeatedly but I didn't think he would still be like this. He is sulking every time up court, he has his arms on his hips in the middle of offensive possessions. Then, when he gets the ball in the post, anyone guarding him just pokes at it and he drops it. Also, NO inside presence, rebounding or defense. Danilo Gallinarri schooled him on one play, thats pathetic. This is not the Josh Smith that I watched play when I was in Atlanta and had season tickets in 2005 and 2006. That Josh Smith was aggressive and fought for the ball and averaged 3 blocks a game. I wanted to take my Smoove jersey off and throw it on the court tonight in protest. Sure, I might be bashed for this cause I don't post and it just looks like I'm a downer, but to spend so much time and money on this team, I have to waste money on league pass, then see us lay an egg against the Knicks, its embarrassing sitting there as the only Hawks fan in the arena. And don't even get me started on Woodson. He can't get through to his players and doesn't run any plays on offense. Wake up, Woody!
