Why can Noah play Center and not complain, but Al can't?

Why you ask...because Noah's position has always been center...Al played PF next to Noah in college.

Wrong !

Horford was one matching up with Oden.....not Noah.

Noah played the help defender....like Smoove does in Atlanta.

He measured 7' even at the combine. However, his standing reach is not good for a guy his height. Horford's standing reach is actually 1/2'' higher then Noah's even though Noah is almost 2 inches taller. Standing reach is more important the height.

That standing reach for Noah isn't accurate. At the time of the NBA combine and the measurements, Noah had a rotator cuff injury and wasn't able to fully extend his right arm. The measurement is based off of both hands together, and as such his standing reach measured much shorter that would be expected. This was confirmed by an insider on the Bulls board who has press credentials for the combine, and who also coincidentally is the one who uploads the measurements for draft express.

Noah wasn't nearly strong enough in college to handle Oden or players of his size. He's put on quite a bit of muscle since coming to Chicago - and is looking more and more like a legit center.

Even if Horford plays center how does the Hawk front line defend the likes of Dwight Howard and the Celtics. The Hawks can beat most teams but when it becomes the playoffs if you don't have a physical front line your not winning. Howard manhandled the Hawks just like the year before the Hawks couldn't stay up with Cleveland and then there is the Celtics. Do you want to win in the regular season and be ousted every year with what the hawks have now? I think most on the board want to advance and be a championship threat but there is no way to do that with the current group of players.

...And if the Hawks want to advance on in the post season, they absolutely MUST improve their horrid perimeter defense, not their interior defense. Dwight Howard wasn't the reason the Hawks got swept in the second round. Rashard Lewis, Jameer Nelson, and Vince Carter are the reason the Hawks got beat. They couldn't guard anyone on the perimeter. There is a reason Atlanta was a top 5 team when it came to defending shots at the goal yet a bottom 5 team when it came to defending shots in that 16-23 foot range.

No it was Dwight Howard. Howard made it hard on everyone else to do their jobs and that made the players you mention above better.
