Game 2: Atlanta @ Orlando (4/19/11)

We grabbed a ten point lead and quickly gave it up...resulting in a 16 point swing to end the first half.

We have GOT to rebound better and keep ORL off the offensive glass. Yeah, it doesn't help that Horford "fouled out" in the first half and D12 is getting EVERY damn call, but Orlando's rebounding is KILLING us more than anything.

Joe needs to start cooking. Howard is well on his way to a 40 point, 20 rebound performance.

Sitting Horford was stupid. I would have pulled him but he shouLd have played in the 2nd quarter. If Orlando wins this game and Al finishes the game with 4 fouls bonehead move by LD

Gotta love how Horford fouled out of the first half with 2 fouls. Way to close the half strong.

Yep it's pretty ridiculous ... but on the plus side we've got a lot of fouls to burn in the 2nd half and we did seem to be the better team with Collins and Horford out there. It wasn't until we had to go with Powell and Armstrong that we really started to fall apart. I'm feeling optimistic about the 2nd half :superman:

The Magic are doing what they did last season by doubling JJ early and they are even doubling the ball early at times. Kind of knew this would happen, not letting us setup our passing is really taking us out of any possible offense other than one on one ISO ball.

We are going to have to win this one ugly.

We are 4 pts down inside of 4 minutes. We have played great D against Orlando and our shots are not falling because of their D. This is nothing like last season; at least we are only down 4 and not 30.

I still say picking your foot up off their neck in the 1st half when Drew sat JJ and Al for a long time put them in this position. If Hawks are up 6 at the half vs down 6 they win this one.

Down 6 at the half is not a killer. They started making some shots and our guys went cold. This was a ugly game but at least it was not a 30pt blow out.

What's crap is that Dwight should have been called for his 6th foul at about the five minute mark. He clearly shoved Zaza a few feet under the hoop. It's pretty much a given if someone blatantly extends their arm a foul is called.

We should've won this game, the magic were practically giving it to us and we effed around and chucked up jumpers all game. Seriously pathetic, we need a superstar who can take over games at those critical moments. Up 2-0 going back to the ATL would've killed any hope the magic had.

If we could have dropped about 6 or 8 jumpers this one would be in our favor. But no way we get the calls going our way this game. Horford was 4 for 11, Hinrich was 4 for 12, and Marvin was 1 for 6. Give us 2 more made shots from each and we win. One more from each and it is a last possession game.

We played hard and did not just hand this to them like one article said we might. Can't look at this in a bad way. Very few teams take two straight on the other teams floor in the playoffs. We had a chance but the shots did not fall.

Is it me or should Damien have Marvins minutes..? He's like the one kid that sits around the house until his roommates bring the bar girls home. I mean, way to cut the free lunch line guy!
