Ideas to make Phillips Arena better

While watching the playoffs one of the things that I thought of was how much all of the Arenas in the NBA had in common. for the most part they play the same music, have an organ guy, play the same mini games during timeouts. I can't really think of any arena that can say, "this is what sets us apart from other arenas in the NBA". So I was thinking? 1) What does Phillips Arena do that sets them apart from other arenas in the NBA? (while we may do kiss cam the best it isn't unique)2) What are some things that other NBA arenas do that Phillips doesn't do?3) What are some fresh (non-basketball) ideas that the Hawks front office can do that would make you want to go to a hawks game.for example, I think that the music in Phillips Arena is horrible, it's generic rap or 80s rock that is way to loud and doesn't get the crowd into the game at all. you would think that it's sole purpose is to make the quiet anger of the Phillips Arena crowd. My Idea would to have live music at the games. for ordinary games Phillips Arena could set up a glass booth for a jazz band to play during the games. the music could even change depending on pace of the game. For big games, Phillips arena could bring in the Atlanta Orchestra. make a national TV game epic.what are some other suggestions that you would give to the Phillips arena staff to make the Arena experience better?

It's the same in every arena because people don't go to games to be entertained by the music or the mini games during timeouts and half-time. They attend basketball games to be entertained by the professional basketball players on the court. If we want a good atmosphere it starts with having an entertaining and winning team on the court (check). Next you have to be a prestigious team like the Lakers or have the admiration of the national media like the cHEAT. Meet one or two of these criteria and fans will show up in drones and cheer your team member's names until they lose their voice and the Hawks will be recognized for having one of the best arenas and atmospheres in the league.

the point is for non-basketball related moves that the Phillips Arena staff can make that will lead to a better experience. one of the BIG problems that Phillips Arena has is that if you don't have lebron/kobe/durant then you're going to have to think outside of the box in order to have people to show up at the games.I've been to hawks games in the past and it feels like they just re-use the same stuff over and over again year after year. over the years, the environment has just gotten bland (kiss cam never gets old though).also, this really should be something that teams across the NBA should look into. they are 41 home games in a year and only a quarter of them are going to have road players that "sell out the house". Arena staff need to start thinking of ways to differentiate themselves and make it so that people have a reason to come to the arena other than "Atlanta is playing Lebron".

I like the scenery when women are there especially the Black women. Posted Image

But I liked my experience at the Verizon more so than Phillips in regards to the game and crowd experience.

HD Scoreboard. My phone has better resolution than the Hawks center-court scoreboard.Offer $5 lap dances from the Elle Duncan and the Hawks Cheerleaders. Once a month nickle beer night.

I often wonder what the games would be like if they toned the lights in the stands down a bit. Like the Lakers or Knicks. When you watch the those games you can't see anyone beyond the first 5 rows. I think it would lend more focus to the game (like when you go see a movie or show). At the same time, they probably keep it bright in the stands for that "family friendly" feel. Would be neat to for them to give it a go though.

The lighting was pretty dim when the Arena first opened. I liked the look. I guess people complained so they went to the brighter look.

More affordable food especially for kids. I realize they probably make a fortune on concessions but to take my kids to the game they basically share a popcorn and soda because i'm cheap as hell plus i just paid a bunch for tix and parking and don't want to drop $80 on concessions. I like the dim lights and live band i think is a cool idea. Live band at halftime would be great too. Also let the kids come sit courtside during warmups. i realize this may be crazy but it would encourage families to come out.

Like they used to before Thrashers games. #1 thing Philips is missing is the Thrashers.

Cheaper food would be good. Even if it is smaller "kids meals" at cheaper prices. As for the scoreboard, aren't they replacing the broken ones at either end? I'd imagine they'll put in something decent since they'll be up there for a while.
