Do you know this man...

Posted Image

He was drafted by the NBA pro club the Atlanta Hawks.

He is 6'6" (1.98 m) in height and 220 lbs. (100 kg) in weight. He can play at both the shooting guard and small forward positions.

He played for Strausbourgh in the euroleague.

The Human rights violation is that he was drafted by us in 1997. He is 37 years old, has been retired for the last 3 yrs and we're still holding his draft rights.

I'm starting the campaign...

Is this a joke or real? And if real why the hell would the hawks be holding on to someone's draft rights this long?!

both.

It's a joke based on a real account.

Digbeau is still property of the Hawks if he comes to the NBA. But dude is 37. He came out with KG. He has not played in 3 years. Ham might be younger.

Yeah he already retired.

Hawksfanatic pointed out that the Hawks had to have tendered him every year in the interim too. :)

It is just like for instance, if Barry Sanders decided to come out of retirement he would still be contractually obligated to the Lions even though he has been retired from the NFL for 15 years.

His contract would be valid if he ever somehow return to the NFL unless the Lions void it.
