Premium Member Sothron Posted July 29, 2013 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 29, 2013 lethalweapon3 did a great research, but let mi try to explain this way: In Europe you have teams whose fans are mono-ethnic or mono-religious ; like Celtics fans are only catolics, Rangers only protestants, Red Star fans - Delije are only Serbs, or Dinamo fans only Croats... I'm Orthodox Christian and I root for Celtic in the SPL and Arsenal in the EPL.
SerbianHawk
I know, but I tried to explain complicated European fan base relations to ATLSmith. I meant Scottish Catholics and Protestants.

I meant Scottish Catholics and Protestants. This is true, almost all Scottish and Irish Catholics are Celtic fans while the Protestant Scottish and Irish are Ranger fans. The European teams have strong regional and/or religious fanbases.
