Drout is over - Braves win!

Recommended Posts

A new man on the mound. He came thru with flying colors.

Braves hit the ball with someone on base.

Remember he old Alka Seltzer commercial:

"Plop, Plop, fiz, fiz, oh what a relief it is!"

Free at last, free at last. The streak is broken!

More than anything, Braves need some timely hitting.

We're leaving almost all runners stranded on base. If

they knew how to bunt, hit and run, run and hit, steal

bases, etc., they might accomplish something.

I don't like a team that can't do a decent job of bunting.

Sometimes it's because they really don't have a clue as

to how and don't really want to learn.

Depending on that three run homer with one man on base

just doesn't add up. If Mr. His Greatness will not lower himself

to bunt, then pull him for a pinch hitter, a starting pitcher who

isn't starting today. A few times doing this and he will get the

message. Learn to bunt the ball and be willing to do it.

We've got about 4 hitters on the whole team. I'm afraid it's going to be a long season. Could BJ or Uggla even make a major league roster if they didn't have a contract. I don't think so. And Heyward? Geez what's happened Santana is hitting better than BJ, Upton, Heyward, Laird and Schafer. As long as BJ and Uggla are eating up the payroll I think we're sunk.

If they are sunk with them playing might as well bench them and play Schaeffer.

and Pena. How much more evidence do we need that for whatever reason they aren't turning it around. What happened to these guys I don't know but seriously if Uggla didn't have that contract he'd be optioned to the minors. (I miss the old days of saying optioned to Richmond).
