Well, currently it would look something like this.

 

C: Horford, Splitter, Tavares

-backup both C/PF: Splitter, Muscala

 

PF: Millsap, Muscala, Scott

-backup both PF/SF: Millsap, Scott

 

SF: Thabo, Bazemore, Hardaway

-backup both SF/SG: Bazemore, Hardaway

 

SG: Korver, Bazemore, Hardaway

-backup both SG/PG: Hardaway

 

PG: Teague, Schröder, Mack

 

Obviously I've included Tavares, because I think we'll bring him over with the way things stand now. I'd like to subtract Scott from this roster somehow. And we'll have our Room MLE at $2.814 million to add another backup somewhere. Also if this is close to the lineup we have, we can expect Millsap to log some minutes as a SF during the season. Regarding the wing players (SG/SF) we'd want to make sure we pair a defensive stopper with one of either Korver or Hardaway. Meaning if Korver or Hardaway are in the game, we'd want Thabo or Baze as the other wing player, in order to put them on D on the other teams best wing scorer. Korver/Hardaway would obviously be covering the lesser wing threat.

I think it already has played out.  We have no more cap space.  Even if we waive players, they still count against cap space.  Why would some other team take them off our hands?
