bumpyphish1
Game tied 50-50 at the half. If Detroit wins, we control our own destiny for the 3. If not, we would need Heat to lose @Boston and a win @Washington tomorrow to get the 3. Bosh is still out for Heat--anyone know his status for playoffs, btw? Reggie Jackson out for Pistons. LET'S GO DETROIT!!

High5
I tuned in to see Joe hit back-to-back 3's and then turned it off.
Lurker
Miami losing at Boston was more likely from the start as it's a SEGABABA road game and they've dropped their last 4 games that has been on a back to back, but either way it's Atlanta's own fault their in this situation if they don't get the third seed due to three noteworthy games (Brooklyn, Phoenix, and Miami itself in that last game where Wade sat). For once, I totally agree with you. No one to blame but ourselves. We should be challenging Toronto for the 2 and not in this "Mid East" pack. bumpyphish1
Well, Joe Cool just all but sealed it with a 3. Coming down to the last game. Does Boston have any incentive to win tomorrow? Do they get the 4 seed with a W?
Lurker
Boston's going on the road regardless of what happens. It's just a matter of whether it's to Atlanta or to Miami and from what we've seen, they may prefer Miami.

So, here's the playoff seeding scenario based on tomorrow's games (best I can figure): GAMES: Heat at Celtics, Hawks at Wizards, Hornets v. Magic SCENARIO 1: Heat win, Hawks win/lose, Hornets win: Heat 3, Hawks 4, Hornets 5. Celtics 6 SCENARIO 2: Heat win, Hawks win/lose, Hornets lose: Heat 3, Hawks 4, Hornets 5, Celtics 6 SCENARIO 3: Celtics win, Hawks win, Hornets win/lose: Hawks 3, Heat 4, Celtics 5, Hornets 6 SCENARIO 4: Celtics win, Hawks lose, Hornets win/lose: Heat 3, Hawks 4, Celtics 5, Hornets 6 Edited April 13, 2016 by bumpyphish1 bad info
Lurker
Wrong on what? Atlanta's locked at the 3 or 4 and Boston if they want can manipulate what series they get and they have had more trouble with Atlanta than Miami. Boston may want to throw tomorrow's game. Lurker
Oh wait nevermind I'm a little slow, if Boston wins they'll have the 5 seed regardless of what happens and would avoid a series with Atlanta if Atlanta wins (and they should unless Washington decides they want to be annoying and bring back their good players). Premium Member Diesel Posted April 13, 2016 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 13, 2016 The real questions are: 1. Do you prefer a possible second rounder with Cleveland or Toronto or Detroit or Indy? 2. Are you mad that we just missed 50 wins?
