Rex Chapman definitely seems like a tool.   A lot of criticism from guys who didn't watch many hawks games this year.   There are certainly some criticisms to level at Dwight's game but once he got adjusted he seemed engaged, positive, and putting in the effort to me.    People act like he just gets rebounds because of his size but there are other guys his size in this league and he is an elite rebounder.  That takes work.   

His per36 total rebounds, defensive rebounds, offensive rebounds were the highest of his career.  

His FG% was the highest of his career

His FT%, while sucky at 53%, was his second highest in the last 7 years of his career.

Played in 74 games and really only missed games by CD.  

 

Whether he's a good fit, whether he's one dimensional, lost athlecticism, yeah i can see those criticisms but I'm not seeing a pattern of laziness or disinterest.
