Um he would be a valuable piece around more talent.

True.  But when Duncan Left... that should have been the end of their dominance right?  No more 60 wins right??  Surely a first ballot hall of  famer and best PF in history is not replacable right??  Sometimes the players is so good because he fits well into the system.

But Duncan has been gone two years, and Leonard has been out of commission much of that same time.  Ginobili and Parker have not been worth a whole lot the last two seasons, yet they win anyway.  Don't they know it isn't possible without a complete tank and rebuild?

Different argument.   You put Isaiah Thomas around talent and he becomes valuable.   You put D. Carroll in the right situation and he becomes valuable.   You put Zaza in the right situation and he becomes Valuable.

Do you need that???  Steve Kerr took the same team that Mark Jackson had and won a championship.   Coach Bud took the same team that Larry Had and won 60 games and went to the ECF and was voted the coach of the year over Steve Kerr.   Coaching is important... but it's not everything.  If it were, San Antonio would never lose.

First, not sure where you got your numbers.   Secondly, who knows?  However, it's easier to build up from the midpoint than from the lowest point.
