COY is a regular season award.

It's simple, we're gonna have to win games

Lots of other new coaches in new places: Nurse in Philly, Ime in Houston.

I think @Gray Mule hit the point I was trying to get to..  and you did too.

 

Snyder coaches the Hawks.   We are least respected from a production point of view.   For instance, if we won 60 games, won the in season tourney...  I still can see Snyder being beat out by a returning Nurse if Philly makes the Playoffs or by Thibs if NY makes the playoffs and get past the first round. 

But I stand corrected.   As a franchise, we have won COY more times than any other franchise??

I guess I should know by hard....

Hubie, Fratello, Lenny, Bud.. Those are the Atlanta Hawks wins.    Even if we stopped right there..  we are still at the top.

Spurs and Raptors with 3 wins each in past 25 years.  Quin needs to win the most games in the conference, or maybe a close second to Boston or Philly would do it.

If Boston finishes first, they would give it to Boston's coach.
