Damn did we really turn down this deal?

Just read on todays Insider that we turned down:

Brent Barry

Vlad Radmonovich

Ronald Murray

Jerome James

for Shareef straight up. They mentioned something about having the Blazers possibly accept that offer for Rahim. It would have been pretty sweet to get a young gun 2 guard like Murray plus a prototype PG to play alongside JT in Barry and Rad is certainly a young player with some potential to at least be a very good bench player. Obviously we wouldnt have the cap space that we now have, but if we dont land something serious in the next 2 offseasons I think I will be pissed that we missed this deal.

I think the deal was actually Barry, Rad, and a scrub for Shareef

Cap Room wise, had we took that deal, we'd be in the same position we would have been in less Reef.

Barry and Murry are FAs at the end of the season so we would have missed out on them. Plus we would have had NO cap room.

That means that we would have James and Radman for Reef. Radman is still a tweener. James is a decent big man but would have played behind Theo. Our outlook for the future would have looked not great.
