Josh Childress Sneaking His Way UP To ROY

Josh Childress could be considered the rookie of the year, if he keeps his game going like it is.

highly unlikely, a more attainable goal is being selected to the all rookie team. Ben Gordon seems to be making a strong push for ROY honors in my opinion.

Gordon, Deng, Howard, Okafor, Childress, Smoove, and JR Smith.

That's still 3 months left to play....

Childress has a long way to fo to catch Okafor and Gordon - who have to be the front runners.

all-rookie team could be gordon/chill/deng/howard/okafor if all 5 keep up their good work...

i could POSSIBLY see gordon/chill/smoove/howard/okafor if both chill/smoove get many more double/doubles and deng stays the same as now or even declines a lil...

I agree he most likely wont win, and I don't expect him to keep getting 10 boards every night.

He is putting up solid numbers, but should be in the top running for rookie of the year.

Behind guys like Howard - Oak - Gordon/Deng(if they keep things going).

Yeah Okafor Gordon and Howard are the only possibilities really. And even howard would need an unbelievable finish to get it. They consider your whole season, not just your best month. Childress' horrible play in 2004 will not be forgotten. But who cares. The important thing is that we are realizing that we did indeed get 2 ballers in childress and smith. And the attention that smith got will help us recruit this offseason, particularly with a top 4 pick to go with.

I really wasn't even thinking about Okafor. I simply forgot about him.

He is such a big part of the Bobcats(ok, all the bobcats), and will most likely win the roy.

I drove up to see the Mavericks take on the Bobcats, and Okafor is such a big part of that team(as you could imagine).

Childress still deserves to get credit from the Hawks fan, and hopefully the doubt that some have for him dies off.
