Churchill
Who do you want? I myself have been going back & forth between a PG & Marvin. I'll go on the record saying take Marvin at 2. If a trade offer wows us and allows us to get Deron/Paul + another pick then go for that.
Premium Member Diesel Posted June 28, 2005 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 28, 2005 I say to be safe... Take Marvin... But by the end of the night, try to have his hat traded for somebody else. namely Paul or Williams. The key becomes N.O. Interestingly enough, Toronto plays a big role too! KB21
The Hawks should not pass on the best player in this draft. Take him and keep him.
Nicholasp27
bogut followed by marvin followed by trade to get deron+something good and hopefully ukic as well, but not from giving up #2 and rmorris/salim/bpa at 31 and bpa at 58 the more picks the better since we have nbdl

Gray Mule
Draft day is here - - Much speculation about what is about to happen - - and still - - No one knows. Not even the teams and all the owners and all the GMs involved. So much depends on what all the other teams are going to do. And, as of now - - No one has really done anything, apparently. If they have, they're not telling at this point. We don't even know who will go #1. We're sure it will be the big center, but --- Maybe not. Then, there is all the guess work about who will trade with who, who will move up to take that player that they covet, what that move will cost and also, there is always that shocker "They picked Who??? with that pick. We were sure THAT player would'nt go THAT high!! Then, there is sure to be a player or two traded to another team in order to make everything work and we say, "THAT player was available? Why didn't WE trade for him?" So many things that may or may not take place between right now and this time tomorrow. Then, free agency signings to follow. Pre-season games, the new Development League setup, then FINALLY the new season begins. Much excitement in store for NBA fans between tonight and the tipoff of next season. edmunds77
I have been reading numerous articles on Marvin Williams all day about his work ethic, team first attitude, and will to win. I think he could be a silent leader like Tim Duncan and help his team, specifically Josh Smith, turn into great players. I am all for Williams even though he doesn't fit a needed role. That's why Mr. Knight has cash to play with in Free Agency and trades.
Lascar78
It's a 2 deep draft, take whichever of the 2 falls to you. I'd prefer Bogut but will gladly settle for Marvin.
emeans
Exactly....Don't make it difficult and don't make a mistake by trading him. Draft Marvin Williams and keep him. Plain and simple!!!
