I posted this in another thread but Harden also does this "arm grab" move where he traps his defenders arm under his and makes it look like a foul. He did it more than a few times towards the end of last nights game against the Cavs. The NBA needs to crack down on this crap. It has to be one of the cheapest moves I've seen in a while. Anyway, I feel like the game against Houston is more than just Harden vs Dwight. It's going to be a really good test of the Hawks defense. As for the lack of pick-and-roll, that will come with time. The season is young. If we're still having the same concerns by mid-season then there's a bigger problem.

After watching Houston vs Cleveland a bit last night I'm interested to see how the Hawks play against Houston this Saturday. Houston is very talented on offense so this will be a good test of our defense. By the way, the "arm grab" that Harden uses to draw fouls needs some serious review by the NBA. I'm not a Cavs fan in the slightest and I wanted to throw something at the TV every time he used it. The refs better not pander to this crap on Saturday.

I think it's pretty awesome that Phillips is getting a makeover. I especially like the exterior windows. Always been a fan of stadiums/arenas with this design. I'm not sure they need even more box seats though. Those always seem largely empty when I attend games, except for the playoffs.

Baze gets a bit of flack around here for his offense, but he is stellar on defense.

I will say that Humphries totally sold the refs on that 5th foul on Cousins. Yes, it was a bit of a physical play but not enough to call a foul IMO. But hey, whatever works.

D8 and D17 are still learning to play together. I saw the missed passes to D8 but I also saw D8 looking a bit lost on offense every now and then. There's also less pick-and-roll action than I would expect. This should all improve as the season progresses. Thoughts on the game overall is that it was a bit sloppy with just about everyone missing layups and open shots. Probably had something to do with the constant fouls.

Damn. I was hoping they would give him one more year.

This team is deep. They are going to give young developing teams fits.

I like how Moose doesn't force his shots and works within the offence to get open looks, and then takes the shot without hesitation. His defense has been on point as well.

I'm with you on this. I think he'll get a lot of playing time against the Spurs on Jan 1. No better way to learn from the guy you are trying to model you gave after than to play against him.

Wow. Box scores for the Pacers look really good. Not sure how much of that is a lack of defense from the Mavs though. If the Pacers keep this up they will be a top 3 team for sure.

I couldn't find it. Just checked the box scores and this a game I would have loved to watch. Hawks are tearing it up.

Even if this guy is a Boston fan, moving Sap to Bos makes no sense because they need a center, not a pf.

At least the man-bun is neater than the hobo-hairdo he was sporting last season. By the way, Moose is our replacement for Horford. He isnt going anywhere. Moose isnt flashy but he has been really efficient. Check out his preseason stats. His FG and 3pt % are both above 50. If he keeps this up he will have one hell of a good season.
