  1. Considering what is out there, Chalmers, Terrence Jones, Barnes.... all fill a need and we end with these scrubs... disapointing really disapointing
  2. Brandon Knight is available for a 2nd round pick, we should definately pick him
  3. Of course he is but NO is looking for wing help, that is why trade fits so well with us, you want to unload Baze? you have a partner... you want to send a expiring? You have a partner, they will take Thabo or Baze in a heartbeat.
  4. There are going to be some opportunities there, players that fit our system and we can get them cheap. Terrence Jones, Matt Barnes, Brandon Knight, Tucker, Lou Williams, Galloway, Ajinca.... when you have major holes as backup PG, SF and backup bigs is easy something there you can use We have some expirings we can unload to a rebuilding team as Thabo, Splitter, Scott, some wings that are redundant and we can trade to a team looking for wing help as Bazemore... Muscala could be appealing for some team.... There are opportunities there, just make it happen Hawks!! by the way I am assuming we don not get any big name
  5. I think he could be a great help here, a frontcourt quality player. NO need wing players and he have a overboking there, trade makes sense for both. Thabo for Jones? Or even we could think Bazemore for Jones if they add something?
  6. Could not agree more, this is the point I am making. I would add some games from Baze, I mean he is not so bad, part of the problem is that he is playing out of position although I think THJR is playing better this season, contract season, take that into account
  7. Some misses on draft day just make me sick Hood or Harris were so obvius decissions instead of Payne Same for Dieng instead of Bebe.. I am not talking about missing on Gobert or Jokic or Daymond Green, that was not obvius and were great hits by those teams, but Harris, Hood or Dieng were ranked ahead of this players by nearly every expert... Now we could be Schröder, Baze, Hood, Milsap, Howard Felder, Timmy, Prince, Humph, Dieng.... Better if we do not thunk about it...
  8. We have so many holes.... Backup PG that can provide scoring Starting SF that can score Backup SF Backup C.... Schröder is starting caliber PG Timmy and Baze are below average starting SG Milsap and Howard are starting PF and C, Hump is a decent Backup PF. Other than that I do not see the other pieces fit great on this team... Thabo I agree that has been playing well but I do not like him as a player lacks size and strength to defend most SF and at SG I prefer Timmy and Baze. Of course Bembry and Prince are developing, I wished Prince could demand good minutes at SF but is not the reality now. Bembry is showing some promise and could make Timmy ir Baze expendable, mostly Baze. Someone said we have reached the peak, I don't agree, we lack so many players at some positions that force us to play players out of position and make us underperform. There are some cheap solutions out there that could be signed and never come to this team, players as Ed Davis, Harkless, M Barnes would have been cheap to have and fill holes here, instead of that we will sign other SG, size and strength are major lacks here....
  9. I can understand trying to dump Mozgov but do not think they are interested on trading Lou, he is a bargain at that price and is an important piece of what they are doing today
  10. So let me understand something... Why LA are trading Lou and Nance to get nothing from us?
  11. Well Murray can definately be a cornerstone piece or the future, Nurkic could develop in a starter C, very good potential there. Chandler is definately what we need at SF position. For me this helps more in the future but also a but in the oresent
  12. Completely agree I would give hime 25 min a night, he was supposed to be a good defender with more minutes I don't think he will look so bad, at least he will not get abused
  13. I think the best deal could be in Denver, Murray, Chandler, Nurkic package for Sap, Splitter and Thabo
  14. Real problem on the team is that we cannot defend big SF, I mean is not a coincidence Hayward had his best game of the season against us, same happens with Lebron, Melo, Crowder.... any big SF is going to have a feast against us, we just do not have any big SF to defend the position. Is not Baze's fault that he is destroyed on defense every game by Big SF, he is a SG playing out of position. of course he is not having a great season but our lack of size at this position and the need to play him is making him look more horrible.

    DUNLEAVY

I already wrote that he could fit better, not as good shooter as Korver of course but more suited to the SF position, has size and can rebound and defend better the SF, I think is an upgrade over Thabo too... of course if injuries respect him
  16. This is simple, Boston won because they have an all-star PG who dominated and they exploded our weaknesses, our 5 not good at defending outside and the SF position that we cannot defend well due to lack of size. What we did? We could have tried to take advantage of their weakness but we did not, feed Howard on the post, they cannot defend him, take advantage o Thomas size, we did not use it. Howard only 4 touches, Schröder horrible on offense... So... teven with that only 2 pt difference at the end... I get the feeling Dunleavy can help at SF position, better than Thabo...
  17. Denver is not trading Jokic for an expiring, no team would do that. we are not trading for Chandler and Gallinari, that would make us one of the worst defensive teams. a more realistic scenario would be Harris and Nurkic, I could see the Hawks doing that, not sure about Denver but at least is a fair trade
  18. Of course not but I think we end cutting Scott to sign a FA PG
  19. I think once we decide who we cut, and I think will be Scott we will sign a Pg on FA. I think is going to be Scott due to his legal issues and the fact that Humph, Muscala and Prince are better players and can provide help. Good options could help us are Dinwidee, Lorenzo Brown, Norris Cole, Phil Pressey, Marshall, Udrih or Chalmers and I think are better than Bynum and Jack right now
  20. Will Bynum and Richard Solomon have signed with Hawks for training camp. Bynum have some flashes during the past seasons, wonder if he could make the roster and provide help at PG while Jack is out.
  21. Taking a look to this reinforces some ideas I had, Milsap is effective playing the 3, more than at4?? Horford is more effective at 4, Teague did a good job at PG, slightly better than Dennis and surprisingly decent stats by Thabo. Korver did better defensively at the 3 than Baze..
  22. Well, that finish the discussion, surprised to see Derozan defensive stats are about the same as Bazemore's
  23. For me that is clear, I like Baze but we are making him play out of position, seems that is our more common fault, I hope Bud reacts and puts him at his position playing Thabo or Prince at the 3. That is why I fear Hardaway stepping up, That would be the perfect excuse to play Baze at the 3
  24. Well, although we all wish Prince will contribute since day 1 he was a reach at 12 and I think he will not play at all the first half of the season, that is taking into account Bud's history and also that I don't think he is exactly a star in the making.... I want to say I think he will work well in our system but I don't expect a contribution since day 1. That basically means we will be the same rotation this season, I am happy with our moves but we should adress this hole.
  25. Not 10%, actually I did take a look and is much more than that, Lebron, Durant, Carmelo, Gallinari, Rudy Gay, Kawhi, Paul George, Batum or Kidd Gilchrist, Hayward, Marcus Morris, Otto Porter, Covington-Saric, Parsons, Deng, Wiggins, Barnes, and that is assuming Bazemore can guard Butler, Middleton, Crowder or Evan Turner that clearly play bigger than him... That is more than half of the league.... We need a true SF
