I truly dont feel like he coaches to win games. It's like he pre determined the rotation and refuses to come off of it until its too late to matter

LP, wtf bro. Do you not care that your team is blowing their chance at a comeback. Stop the bleeding.

Teams pull up threes in our faces like we dont even exist defensively. Scrubs shooting with confidence with hands in their face and hitting the bottom of the net.

Heeeeee's baaaaack. But seriously, Trae is being way more active and making heads up plays. This energy is exactly what we needed

Finally some life. Detroit with the kiss of death timeout. We never do well when opponents slow down our momentum and make adjustments.

So, kind of like years 1-3 maybe? Which is where we are judging Trae

Most had Cam over Deandre because we all assumed Bogi was a lock to start and we thought we could only have one at the time. Cam still provides a tantalizing amount of upside and he is still in fact 2 years younger/behind developmentally, than Hunter is. Play strength and consistency being the major holes in Cam's game right now. Two things that naturally improve with experience. Deandra was sold short by some, but in general we always knew he was the more ready and consistent of the two players. His body was more mature, he spent 3 years in college in a program that built long term habits and an eventual champion vs Cam's 1 and done rockstar status season at Duke. A lot of us saw Dre and said that he had the talent to be like Kawhi. I think that still holds true, especially how Dre is so steady and sound. Cam has ways to catch up to the maturity of Dre's game.

I'd like to dig more into this. Trae we know, we hide him for a reason and he cannot afford to switch. Clint, obviously we don't want him switching because nobody else can guard opposing centers, and we don't want him being pulled away from the basket. Now, with Kev starting, Im guessing he needs to stay home too, but when it was Cam, you would assume he had free range to go 1-3 if needed.- 456 replies

I don't think we would have been seeing so much Hill (at PF or even at all) if we had Gallo healthy. You cant fault LP for injuries. If you believe Bruno or Knight are a better PF option then sure, go for it. But based on interviews alone, I can tell Hill speaks the kind of language and has the understanding of his expectations that LP feels way more confident in.

What category to College Coaches fall under? New faces, or re-treads?- 456 replies

8-7 would have really been just fine, but us starting out 3-0, then 4-1, I think we all started smelling ourselves way too much. To start 4-1, and sit now at 6-7, means we are a 2-6 team the last few weeks. And I believe we are more caught up in the stench of a 2-6 stretch than the big picture that we are within striking distance of being exactly where we should have been entering the season. Can't get too high, can't get too low.

Don't even get me started, I had my best friends all believing we had just drafted the next Dewayne Wade that year. I'm surprised they still let me talk basketball to them after that.

Trae learned it directly from his idol, Steve!! lol

I just want to see if this team can ever have its main pieces, including the FA signings, healthy for an extended stretch of the season. At this point, I fear a season ending injury is going to happen before we get all of the other guys back to health. This matters because this learning period goes by slower and slower with the lack of consistency and constant re integration of players. It could be April before we say, okay, the guys finally know each other. Before the coaches finally figure out what lineups and roles fit together best.

I meant 8-7 by the way, thanks for not correcting me everyone lol

Dunn... Gallo.... they seem like pipe dreams. Such high hopes for them this year.

As bad as we have sucked this year, we are only 2.5 games out of 1st place lol Our next 2 games are against the worst teams in each conference. (DET, MIN) If we take care of business we should be 7-6 After that, we face an onslaught of top teams. 11 games vs teams that are ahead of us in W/L standings: (MIL, LAC, UTA, LAL, BOSx3, BKN, SAS, OKC, IND,. 5 games vs teams with the same W/L standing (DEN, DAL x2, NYK, CLE) Only 5 games vs teams that sit below us. But each of them dangerous (TOR, MIAx2, ORL, WAS) One thing for sure, we will know exactly who we are after this gauntlet. A .500 record by the break would be a huge success. We likely will end up a few games under though.

I think so and it's a very underrated move. You cant teach Trae to play without the ball if you dont put another ball handler next to him. One that wont sacrifice the flow of the offense. Having Rondo be a floor general and move Trae to the correct spots helps breaks the habit of Trae trying to create everything. It will help against traps as well. I hope we see it more. Heck, I hope we see more of Rondo in general.- 456 replies

Trae's size has a lot to do both the decision making and outcomes of his drives.
