  1. Well Zach Randolph was pretty good. I assume you are talking more recently though. Deyonta Davis made a huge mistake leaving early and it showed considering how he slipped in the draft. He improved this last season from his rookie year in Memphis from a sheer numbers standpoint. Not going to pretend I watch Memphis at all so I can’t speak to anything else. Adreian Payne was wrongfully kicked off the Magic, but that’s another topic to one I won’t address. He bounced around a couple teams, but overall was a major disappointment. Matt Costello went undrafted like he should have and is buried in the G-League, but is a member of the Spurs organization so I imagine he’s a future HOF player. My biased opinion is JJJ was a stud in college at 18. Was under used and sat on the bench a lot for varying reasons. One thing he could or could not control was fouling. There were times he’d pick up 2 quick ones and be done for the last 15 minutes of the first half. He’s better defensively than Davis and Payne were. Offensively he can’t hold a candle to Payne’s game, but has a similar skill set that can evolve into more consistency. Athletic wise he’s superior than Payne was at MSU and that’s saying something. Yes JJJ is a gamble. Most players are. I think his ceiling is sky high, but his floor could also be low if his offensive game doesn’t get refined and develop. If that’s the case you have an athletic big who is limited on offense and a great defender. That kind of player is a rotational piece and is fine to have. Ideally that player isn’t a top three draft pick though.
  2. Limited offense and is pretty raw still. He’s a project. Like I said in another thread. You don’t draft a project number 3 overall.
  3. 3. JJJ 19. Miles Bridges 30. Nick Ward
  4. Who cares if sounds intelligent and is mature for his age? That has no bearing on his lack of an offensive game. He’s a project and needs work. You don’t draft a project at number 3 overall unless you want to be picking at number 3 the following year.
  5. Boston struggling to close out Philly in the garden. The pathetic teams the Cavaliers face year in and year out continues.
  6. Lebron gets a coach fired and nearly gives another one a heart attack.
  7. Pelicans spanking the Warriors tonight. Shooting it extremely well from distance.
  8. Raptors gonna raptor. Pretty solid choke job. Think they shot something like 1-16 to end the 4th quarter. I didn’t think they would win the series, but being up double digits multiple times and collapsing the way they did spells disaster for them. Their only chance was to win this game. A sweep is a real possibility. What a joke the eastern conference is.
  9. All I know is I need to get to McDonalds stat to get a salad for myself and family.
  10. Is this a real thread? What is that “T word” you used? I think recent history suggests the Hawks will grant Dennis a few visits to some teams and then a week later just outright cut him.
  11. Was off on the record a bit. Gave them too much credit. I nailed the second half of my prediction though!
  12. The entire eastern conference is ripe for the taking for Cleveland...again. Boston is a joke without Kyrie. Toronto is struggling mightily with Washington. The Sixers are most likely the only hope to keep Cleveland out of the finals.
  13. Philly has some quality veterans who are very key to their success. Especially in the playoffs. Two were on the Hawks roster and I believe they got nothing for Illy and Belly.
  14. My personal rooting interests lie with Milwaukee. Love watching Giannis and hope he stays with them for awhile. The Sixers are fun to watch as well. I would like to see Milwaukee/Minnesota in the NBA finals. What I think will happen is Cleveland and Houston meet and the Rockets ultimately prevail. The Warriors are vulnerable and not healthy. Lance Stephenson never change!!!!
  15. Wild ending in Boston to close regulation. Only to see Milwaukee collapse in OT. Pacers pounding Cleveland early on.
  16. Golden State spanked San Antonio with ease. Not a surprise. Toronto and Washington was exciting for a bit. The Wizards can ball as we witnessed last year. The Raptors are a different team and that bench is great. I can see Washington pushing this series to six games though. Philly destroyed Miami. Didn’t watch much of that. AD and the Pelicans upset the Blazers in Portland. Didn’t see any of this game.
  17. So what did this win do for the Hawks lottery situation? It looks like they are 4th as of right now. Orlando is going to lose tonight and by all accounts the Hawks should be no worse than 5th at the close of the season? So are the Hawks locked into fourth or fifth pick based on the standings or what is the likely scenario?
  18. Much ado about nothing. Schlenk hates free agents and spending money unless it’s to spend money on a player who plays for another team, but collects a paycheck from the Hawks.

Thibedau is a poor coach. The Wolves are still bad defensively, have no depth, or consistent shooting from the perimeter. The Hawks will win just as many playoff series as your beloved Wolves too.
  20. Suns have this thing mastered. That was impressive last night.

Wolves are trash, but will make the playoffs. That schedule down the stretch is laughable.
  22. Watched about half the game and lol at the players the Hawks are trotting out there. People need to pump the brakes about KAT being a hall of fame player too. He literally carved up a d league roster last night.

Denver sucks and Minnesota has an easy path to the playoffs.
  24. What is a Damion Lee and why is it starting for the Hawks?
  25. Damn idiots! Winning last night not only hurts their draft pick, but also my wallet. Parlay was 2/3 complete until this game went south.
