Yeah - that whole thing seemed sneaky by stubhub because as soon as the deal was cancelled the same season tickets went on sale for like $2000. You could buy them from the Hawks for $800 JBH - I guess no we are seeing how the other half of NBA fans live. Winning costs. I went to the Mremphi game, got the 2 for 1 deal, and with parking tickets, a few soft drinks and popcorn the total price tag was about $55 for 300 level seats Row M. Still glad I went, but dang - that's a lot.

This reminds me of last fall I found a season ticket package for the Hawks on Stub Hub for $57 - so I bought it right away. Within a day or so, Stub Hub told me that it was a mistake and that the deal was cancelled. After much whinning they finally agreed to give me a $100 credit which I've used to go to Hawks games. During our discussion I asked them "Well if I made a mistake and paid way too much for a ticket, could I get a refund"". I guess now I could find out the answer to that - but I think its no....

I went to games a few years ago and there were way more empty seats than fans. You'd get out of the parking lot in 30 seconds. Now, there are way more fans than empty seats, and it take 15 minutes just to get out of the parking lot. (Oh, and the price of parking has doubled.....) Those fans didn't all come to get dates on Tinder or whatever, or to just see the laser show. BTW - KD leaves OKC and the team starts losing, I wouldn't be surprised if before long it moves back to Seattle.

I wonder how much the fact that the Jazz (the Hawks farm team out west) renounced the rights to Millsap played into his relatively low price tag last time around. Won't be the case this time.

Power rankings and that kind of computer generated nonsense went out of style with the BCS. We have standings and records. We don't need no power rankings. I think their computer just said "Oh, the Hawks? All they do is win games." Or put another way, I'd never trade a single win for a first place in the power rankings.

When I was in HS we one of our big rivals had a few guys on the team that were losing their hair and looked way to old for HS (even if they repeated several grades.). I always thought they were retired NBA players used a ringers. Payne could be a guy like that. See if anyone can match him up to a former player.
