  1. Both will have recognizable names across the league for different reasons. I predict in the future the Hawks may have to pick one or the other because the market will demand higher contracts for their skill set.
  2. "We're going to make Dwight Howard great again!"
  3. Good podcast. D8 is going to kill it. The combination of "Bud" ball and a revitalized Howard just sounds like a right place at the right time scenario. The Hawks will be one of the teams that will be apart of the "Big Man Movement" which will be the "storyline" of the next NBA season.
  4. DS17 WILL be better than Teague. For one he's not a passive player. Honestly, he single handedly brought the Hawks back in one of the Cleveland playoff games. If he had more help, that would have been a win. D8 is also an improvement over Babycakes. I mean, everytime Thompson was in the game he would just make Babycakes his whippin boy. I don't see that happening with Howard.
  5. I would love for this to happen, but I think Millsap might test the market.... everything depends on how well this season goes. I've always felt like Babycakes was offensively challenged, but not Millsap he clearly showed he was the best player on the Hawks. 45 in a playoff game in Boston is nothing to sneeze at. If Babycakes and Teague would have showed up, the Hawks would've won.
  6. This guy..... SMH. There's a few Squawkers I know how would do a better job than him.
  7. Very True, he didn't....but that was smart on his part to wait and see what kind of noise the Hawks would make without him, and they did just that. So much noise to the point where he wanted to come home. The Hawks came out the winner overall. Now we get the mature, rebounding and defensive superstar we needed at the right time and at a fair price. Imagine if Horford walked and we had no Dwight.
  8. This man is going to become a fan favorite quickly. Mr. Skywalker Smack talker is our SF of the future. I know some are thinking DMC 2.0 , but I'm thinking better. The man can shoot , create his own shot and is very athletic. Can't wait to see him in Summer league.
  9. Moose is good for what he is being paid. I really like Moose's game. He can hit the mid range and has the range to knock down a few threes. His stat's decreasing is no surprise, he didn't see alot of action this past season. His hustle and shot altering ability is very underrated. He's a keeper, unless you find someone better for that price.
  10. I keep seeing"trade Scott and Splitter"...but you guys do realize that they are our back up PF and C, right? ( at a very cheap price might I add) Unless you trade Scott and bring back Humphries. If anything sign Hinrich to seal the deal.
  11. For me to judge this man based off the ways other franchises handled him would be asinine. Kobe and Dwight wasn't a good fit. If memory serves me correct, Kobe had a problem playing with another big by the name of Shaq. The same can be said about Harden. Seems to me Dwight and ISO heavy ball players don't mix. And if you think he won't fit into Bud's system, then you haven't watched Hawks basketball.
  12. 14 mill is alot for a backup PG. Knight would be a great addition to our team, but to trade the Hawks best wing defender would be a mistake. What about bringing back Hinrich?
  13. Ask anyone who is older than 40 and they will tell you 30 isn't old. Matter of fact, an older man told me the most fun you'll have in your life is in your 30s and 40s. D12 was fine in Orlando. I really think he went to the wrong franchises which made for bad blood. Also, notice he played with ISO heavy guards (Kobe, Harden) .
  14. I think Thabo will be a great defensive line up. It's the offensive end where Korver will have the edge. His spacing will be even more needed now that D12 is here.
  15. No, you keep Millsap and D12 together. It's better that you keep him, cause the Hawks won't get equal value in return. Plus Millsap 's game is an age less one.
  16. Okay, that's good to hear. The Hawks definitely need to have Millsap as top priority in next year's free agency.
  17. The Atlanta Hawks' preferred plan in the offseason was to sign Dwight Howard, re-sign Al Horford and trade away Paul Millsap. The Hawks would retain a quality frontcourt in signing Howard and Horford while collecting assets by trading away Millsap. Atlanta preferred Horford on his contract as it will be approximately $9 million per year less than what Millsap figures to make next offseason. Horford's starting salary with Boston will be about $26.5 million, while Millsap could start at around $35 million since he is a player with 10 or more years of experience. Atlanta discussed Millsap trades with Phoenix, Denver, Toronto and Houston.
  18. True, but what kind of message are you sending to the rest of the league?....if you play good the Hawks will rather trade you instead of paying you? Like I've said they only wanted Babycakes over Millsap because he would be cheaper . That's the main problem here. So if D12 balls out are the Hawks going to trade him at 33?
  19. This is a big problem the Hawks have currently. To my understanding the Hawks chose Babycakes over Millsap thinking that he would sign. In terms of money the Hawks was thinking we'll have Horford longer and cheaper than the contract Millsap is going to get next year. Even if they were correct they forgot one thing that players also look at.... LOYALTY. When Millsap resigned with the Hawks (for less money than the Magic were offering might I add) he took to IG and said Loyalty . Millsap loves Atlanta and the Hawks. He was a known player in Utah buy became an All-star and borderline superstar with the Hawks. What I don't understand is why would you pick Babycakes over Horford? Millsap proved that he was the best player on the Hawks on both sides of the floor. The Hawks made a big mistake by trying to trade Sap. Not only that, the Raptor's was the team we were going to trade him to. The only reason it didn't fall through cause Babycakes made his decision to move on. Ross and Patterson was the one's to come to Atlanta. There was also a close call with the Nuggets for players ,picks and Kenneth Faried. Millsap is the heart of this team, I just hope they can repair what has been damaged.
  20. I think for what Scott do for 3 million is a bargain in today's NBA. So I can see why the Hawks are not quick to trade him.
  21. That's what I think also. But if he is happy with him now, he soon won't be later.
  22. I'm I in the twilight zone? At what point did the league started looking at Horford as a superstar? Sounds like to me they're hoping that the Hawks will fail.
  23. Bwahhaahaha! Someone must have told him to place that.....after Bazemore's. Something is telling me he's already regretting on how he handled the situation. The more I think about it, the more I think Horford made his decision before before the season started. He clearly packed it in so he wouldn't get a major injury.
  24. Gwinnett would be the best bet. Duluth to be more exact. The Arena has plans to build more on to the property as well. The Hawks hold a youth summer camp in Suwannee so the connection is already there.
