The Hawks just cannot defend the 3 nor can they make it. Its crazy to see how teams get so many wide open shots from behind the arc on this team. I thought Dennis struggled down the stretch. Just couldn't make a shot The inability to defend the 3 point line is going to kill this team in the playoffs .

He has to find a better balance of when to pass and when to shoot but man on a team devoid of a lot of offensive talent, he has to shoot. Dennis, Tim, and Sap are our best scorers. The way this team is built he doesn't really have much choice but to score. Get better talent and he should be able to dial it back some.

I couldn't even finish watching that mess of a game. Just some awful basketball. Might be the least inspiring win I have seen in a long time. And that's saying something being a Hawks fan. Baze got to go . I don't care where they send hm or what they get back for him but he has to get out of here. The fact that they brought him back is still baffling. You just used a freaking lottery pick on your future sf. Why in the hell would you over pay for Baze? I thought it was pretty clear that dude was nothing more than an energy bench guy. He is not a starter in this league. He is pretty much what the Bad Josh Smith was, but smaller. Josh was damn good when he played under control. But he went Bad Josh a lot which resulted in bad shots, bad passes, and gambling defense. Baze however is Bad Josh at all times. Dumb passes, dumb shots, awful defense. And I don't know if I have ever seen a professional player miss as many lay ups as this dude. Get him out of here

Yea I really miss having both guys but financially it couldn't be done. Plus both guys are starters in this league. The trade had to happen

I love the Hawks but man this year has been tough to watch I just have no idea what the ultimate goal is here Do we want to win it all or are we just happy to make the playoffs? Why sign Dwight if you wont tweak your system some to make him more effective? Because it was clear and is clear that he does not fit the system you want to run If you know how Dennis is already attitude wise,, then why not sign a capable back up ? Bud's first year here wasn't this frustrating because we had all those injuries but this year has been just so ehhh. This team is 1 and done in the playoffs. And if they max out Sap and give Tim a big raise then the future wont be bright either But i really wonder how much longer the Bud and Dennis relationship lasts because I can see them continuing to bump heads. If we end up losing Dennis and Jeff, I might have to take a break from this team

Just some bad basketball down the stretch Sap had Jeff on him and couldn't score Then we dribble the air out of the ball to take a long contested 3. The inability to defend the 3 is more than frustrating at this point The transition defense that gave up that open 3 to Robinson was just SMDH.

Its as if Celtics fans never saw him play before he was signed. Good player but not even close to being a max player. They already want him out of town lol. I actually thought he was playing softer last year because he didn't want to get hurt and cash in on free agency. But it looks like Al has lost that hustle and tenacity he had before the injuries . I think he is also realizing just how good he had it here as far as the media goes. The ATL media was paper tissue soft but the media up there is killing him. They are not going to let him slide with that mediocre play And I think they Celtics are going to regret not getting Butler or George. If you shut Thomas down they cant score and don't have a reliable second option. They better hope that draft pick delivers

Dennis needs to grow up and we need a legit back up pg I try not to call NBA players trash but Delaney is trash. This dude should not be on an NBA roster. Who in the hell scouted this guy? I am trying to think of the last player we had that I just hated to see enter the game because I knew he was going to be awful. Delaney better not be on this team next season

Yea the Hawks dont even have the assets to make a good offer for PG so Nah And if the Hawks want to keep Tim, they have to get rid of Baze. Like it was already mentioned, you cant tie up that kind of money in both Tim and Baze. Call up the Rockets and see if they still want Baze. They tried to sign him in the summer so see if they still have interest

Just an average team Dennis, Dwight, and Sap have been good but other than that, ehhh Just not a lot of talent on this team Our back up pg is not an NBA player. I still dont know why they signed Delaney Moose is a 3rd big at best but is our back up big here Baze is a energy bench guy being paid starter money and playing like a guy that should come off the bench Tim has been better than I thought Our lotto pick does not play. Our other rookie needs a lot of work on his jumper I don't understand why some think we are built for the playoffs. We turn the ball over too much and cant score. Add in all the games where they don't even show up and its a recipe for disaster come playoff time. The scary thing is that they might bring back the same freaking team next year but at a more expensive price tag. Not looking forward to that at all

That was very hard to watch. They were awful on both ends. Games like tonight makes one see why Bud was ready to blow this thing up and at this point I wouldn't blame him. They continue to come out sluggish for whatever reason They don't always play hard The perimeter d has been pretty bad This bench is pretty bad whenever they don't have Tim coming off of it. Moose continues to look soft Who scouted Delaney? What does this guy do well? Its no way this guy would be in the NBA if it wasn't for the Hawks. I pray our 2 first round picks end up being players because the talent evaluation has been spotty at best the past few years. They have to get over this one because they have Houston tomorrow. Hope its a lot better showing

Butler was not happy in his post game interview . Seems like him and Paul George are disgruntled with their current situations.

He has a lot to work on but I was one of those who were fine with letting him play from jump and go through the growing pains. Lets just hope he has a jump next year like Dennis had in his second year

Congrats to the Falcons. I'm proud of them. I remember watching that Vikings game when they went to their last Super Bowl. I couldn't believe Gary Anderson missed that kick. Whatever you guys do, make sure everyone is in their room the night before the big game. We dont need another Eugene Robinson moment We had a Tornado in my area so I couldn't see the game (plus I was at work). I had to keep up via the internet. The local channels are still out on Direct TV so I might not even see the Steelers and Patriots SMDH

I have said a few times that Baze is pretty much the bad version of Josh Smith. Bad shots, bad passes. and gambling on defense. Yea we need a legit back up Center. If Moose is not hitting shots, he brings nothing else to the table. He cant defend and he does not rebound. He was awful out there Bad game from Dennis. I dont know what he was doing tonight And i dont know if Dwight got frustrated with his lack of touches but it sure did look like he stopped playing hard. He is not a great post player but he rarely touched the ball tonight. There were a few plays where he didnt even attempt to protect the rim or get back on defense. Bad showing from him. Cant let your lack of touches stop you from playing hard. At this point just start Tim. I'm sick of Baze. Seems like a nice guy but dude is not a starter. He is a 20 minute off the bench enery guy. Admit you messed up on that contract and move him to the bench or trade him. And we traded Jeff for a lottery pick and the lottery pick cant even get on the damn court. Jeff is looking like the guy that made the All Star team and our lottery pick cant even play over a guy in Baze, who has been trash for most of the season. I just don't get it. Hell Dunleavy just got here and was out there

Lol man I get upset whenever I watch Giannis play. Just thinking of him and Dennis as our two main pieces in the future smh . Dude just keeps getting better and better

As much as I like Sap I just cant see the Hawks paying him the money he will command next season just for us to be a good/average but not great team. Hopefully they pull the trigger on some stuff this year like they should have done last year with Al and Jeff.

That shot in the 4th looked good as soon as it left his hands but it rolled out.

It was an ugly game to watch but at least they won Dennis and Dwight were great tonight. Dennis kept us in it when nobody else could buy a basket. Dwight was all over the glass and hit some big free throws Big shots from Kyle and Thabo. Its hard to even get excited about this win. Glad they were able to scrap it out but as a few have already mentioned, they barely won and that's with Melo kicked out the game, Rose thinking he was the same guy that won the MVP, and that late tech on Hornacek. I have no idea which version of the Hawks will show up next game And Porzingis is a joy to watch. That kid can flat out ball. Its a damn shame that he has no one on that team that will get him the ball. There was a stretch , well many stretches, where that kid didn't even touch the ball despite him having a matchup advantage. I know the rumor a few years ago is that the Hawks made him a promise but he pulled out of the draft at the last minute . Crazy to think just how nice our future would be if we had him, Dennis, and Prince going forward.
