    Yep...this Braves team is still pretty bad this year, the reason they swept the Nationals is because they've been owning them of late anyway. It's 2014 all over again.

    I'm a bit late at posting this (I thought about doing so last night but couldn't on my tablet) but while I would probably take the Knicks season series with a grain of salt given that two of the games happened with Pierce as the coach and because it looked like Young was about to put them away before he got hurt under McMillan, they will still be tough. Credit is deserved, they're good. I don't think the Sixers or Nets want to see either team...heck, whoever comes out of the play in is going to be a challenge as well most likely the way they're going with 7-10.

    4-2 is very doable IMO, and it would be a nice completion to what's been a very good turnaround. **in the regular season, that is.

    Bogdanovic has been fantastic since he got his footing since coming back from the injury and it doesn't matter who he's been playing with, says that the way he looked early in the season was a mixture of him not being healthy and not being used to his strengths. I know I saw one person say that Nate is using him similar to Ray Allen in Seattle...

    This team is 20-7 since Pierce got fired and is probably going to win 40 games. It'd be one thing if it was more .500 type stuff and then suddenly Trae sits down and the team is better, but it's not.

    Bump Not many games in but this looks good already. Sigh. It's apparently against Atlanta law to have more than 1 good pro sports team in the main 3 sports since the Hawks are top 10 per net rating, even if it's not likely they do anything other than scare somebody in the playoffs. Reason it looks good is this Braves team just has completely different vibes. If they fall behind, you expect them to lose so far, when in recent years, they'd be able to fight back and win. AA looks bad too for choosing to let one of the major strengths of the team walk so far.

    We've shown that we can win a few games with Young out but it's not something that I'd count on happening consistently, even if the record before tonight is 3-0 with Brandon Goodwin starting at PG. I'm hoping to tread water while he's out but with Capela also out tonight, yeah, I don't think tonight is happening and will happily eat crow if I'm wrong.

    They win this game in regulation if Trae doesn't go down. And I wasn't even watching a lot of this game because of baseball, I could just tell that Trae was having a really good floor game.

    He did have that 8 game stretch closer to the start of the season that was not great at all but I'm happy with his season overall. I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that he puts up a split that includes a 44-45% FG and a 3 point percentage of around 37-38%. Maybe a season of 24 PTs/10 AST too...

    It looked like for a while the Hawks weren't going to get a stop, but they stepped it up nicely to get it done.
