  1. I hate that this game is at 7. Ensures that I'm going to miss part of it given that I'm walking in the evening unless there are storms.
  2. The next time that Hunter playing at PF in an NBA game actually works out well will be the first time.
  3. I will take 1-1 but after that first half, you really needed to win the game. Also, the Hawks aren't winning this series with nothing from Collins and nothing from Capela.
  4. Welp, this one's in the books, most likely. Hopefully the role players have better luck at home on the weekend.
  5. I wouldn't do the all bench lineups, but I was noting that I found it interesting that Trae didn't play the full 1st or 3rd quarter. I actually like that, but I was going to have him brought back sooner than he was.
  6. I thought the rotations being used in game 1 by the Hawks were an interesting change. Felt as if it almost backfired, but it makes sense if you feel confident about your depth IMO to "attempt" this vs a Thibs team and adjust as necessary (Trae, Bogdan, and John can all play 38-40+ minutes if needed). There was a week off, but they're the team that's more likely to run out of gas. I almost mentioned this last night but decided to keep quiet. I'm guessing DRose likely starts at some point and the longer that we wait before this adjustment happens, the more helpful it is, because it allows for the Hawks to place Collins on Payton.
  7. It's pretty funny that you're still getting complaints about how Trae is a foul merchant. Like dude, he may have shot some free throws last night but that was far from a big story about his game.
  8. Great game and game winner by Trae Young!
  9. Trae only actually took two threes I believe and with the second one it was a two for one...although he could've tried to go to the hoop there I think? The biggest problem of this first half was both Bogi and Gallo aren't hitting from three.
  10. If the Hawks can split these first two in MSG, I like them in 6 based off recent play at home. I don't think a sweep is realistic...either way. Losing 7 in a row to the same team would be very disappointing, and in the case of the Hawks winning, based off what I've seen before (even if it's been with different players and different coaches), I'd be surprised if the Hawks swept. Heck it's tough to win 4 or 5 in a row generally (although I do not think that last game would have been a loss if Trae didn't sprain his ankle), which is why I'd be looking to get 1 at MSG.
  11. Damn. I wanted the Wizards to win this game and it looks like I'm not going to get my wish. (spent most of my time up to the last 30ish minutes or so watching the Braves play like losers)
  12. Sarah K. Spencer on Twitter: "Trae Young (right big toe soreness) will be a game-time decision, Nate McMillan says. Bogdan Bogdanovic (left hamstring soreness), Clint Capela (left Achilles soreness), Danilo Gallinari (low back soreness) and Kevin Huerter (left ankle soreness) are out." / Twitter Hey! Does anything ache for you Trae? We need to know just in case the Knicks win and we decide to pull the plug on the game... Right big toe soreness? Perfect! Maybe let him get a few minutes if he wants, but he shouldn't play a lot (and that seems to be the plan).
  13. If this causes serious differences, I will be pretty surprised because Trae doesn't foul bait as much anymore and y'all have said that the refs have gone in the other direction in calling stuff on him (while I've watched a good bit of the season, I don't watch closely enough to be able to fully tell). Yes, that means he has had an organic season, much to the dismay of the haters haha. Only thing you can really point out is his three point shot has left him (especially lately) but outside of that he's done really well since he came back from the ankle sprain (and he's cut down on the bombs over a full year).
  14. I don't think this series will be easy by all means but yeah, I said earlier that given what happened when these games occur (first two games were before Pierce was fired and this became a much better 4th quarter team, and in the last game, Young was destroying them before he went out), you have to take the season series with a grain of salt.
  15. If they do still start/play I'd only have guys like Young/Bogdanovic/Huerter/Collins/Capela/Gallo/Lou play some to tune up. Hunter needs to play for as long as he can though since he's been out of commission for so long. Really hope he can get to where he can play a decent amount of minutes next week.
  16. Oh well...yeah, they should be good then. So...Milwaukee. They might well sit their starters. It'd be a power move to avoid Miami.
  17. Although based off what I just watched, the Sixers failed again to clinch the #1, so Milwaukee probably doesn't sit their starters. Of course, that's putting the cart before the horse, let's hope we win on Sunday too.
  18. Looking at the schedule, Miami has a decent shot of being the 5th seed now. All they have to do is beat Milwaukee most likely, and ole' Bud could very well rest his starters. I think we could handle that matchup but I would be less of a fan of facing them then facing the Knicks.
  19. Hunter's offense is rusty.
  20. Good job so far tonight...
  21. The bench can't do what it did today in the playoffs. The starters got this game in control and it almost got pooped away while the bench was in.
  22. Westbrook can be extremely dangerous but boy is that a stupid shot by him. And thank god too. There was definitely a foul on the play before too.
