Premium Member Peoriabird Posted February 8, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 8, 2006 Eat your 10 tons worth of crow!!!! I hope this shuts all of that "what a bad trade" garbage for good!!!! And as far as people talking about point guard as the number one need on this team, you can shut up too! And for all of you who persist on coming up with all of these dumb azz trade proposals. Shut Up!!! This team is coming together and growing. Sure we need an athletic shot blocker in the front court to go along with Josh Smith to win consistenly but we have our foundation. Good Fycking win!!!! Plainview1981
It was a good win, but the team still hs twice as many losses as wins.
Southern_Bred
Its not JJ fault, he's finally getting comfortable with his role on the team.
Popeye
If we went to JJ more often instead of AL we would maybe have few more wins

But he's still not a top tier guard so that still makes him overpaid. But he did great tonight. I figured that he would have got lockdown tonight. Detroits defense obviousally wasn't there tonight. RMJ
JJ may not be a top tier guard but he sure has fooled me over the last couple of weeks.
Southern_Bred
Everyone says he's overpaid, well then...what is he worth? 10 mil, 8 mil, what will it take for him to earn his money?
Premium Member Diesel Posted February 8, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 8, 2006 I really think the lion's share of the credit goes to Zaza. Down the stretch, I thought Zaza had been replaced by the ghost of Vlade. He was making vet moves on vet. He hooked Rasheed and got it to look like Rasheed fouled him on the rebound!!! That is what set the stage for us to win. Without Zaza getting those two points with the clock off, I don't think we would have won.
Plainview1981
He's a really good player and is on the level of the Redd's/Hughes/RIchardson and he might be closing in on the Paul Pierce level, but he doesn't have the skills to do enough to earn what was giving up for him. It isn't his fault... Anybody would take what was given to him.
Southern_Bred
We gave up a late draft pick, our pick, and Boris who was doing nothing for us. The money was not going to be used on anybody else so that doesn't matter.
Plainview1981
Joe isn't worth a loto pick, 1st pick, 70 million plus a solid role player. I'm not saying that JJ is a bum or isn't any good. He's just overpaid.
TheDude
great win...good going joe.. he's not paul pierce, but close...but he definitely ahead of hughes and richardson..he's about redd right now but slowly creeping above because of all-around game...hughes? I don't know about "lion's share", but you can give ZaZa his props. He got dominated in the first Detroit game, but he held his own tonight. You're right about those 2 free throws down the stretch. It was the difference between us getting a stop and going for a 2 . . or trying to tie the game with a 3 and still having to get a stop.
TheNorthCydeRises
Joe wouldn't be overpaid if he got his 20 - 25 shots a game, like the other guys in that tax bracket do. It's not his fault that he's not looking to shoot 23 times a game. He could very easily be a 25 ppg scorer in this league, if he had a gunner's mentality and shot the ball every time he touched it. I know one thing. IF I had a choice between Michael Redd and Joe Johnson, I'm taking Joe any day of the week.
