Admin
I have watched him play since way back when 'Cuse was whooping UConn and I gotta say that I dont ever remember seeing him score that effictively. He doesnt have much of a shot outside the arc (surprisingly), but anything inside of 18 is money in the bank. IF we can ever develop a motion offense to support him, which hopefully happens once Reef comes back, I think we can be scary good on offense. Last night we could have scored even more if JT would have gotten himself involved in scoring a little more. I really think the national media has gotten to him some and he is trying to be a pure PG. JT please just go out there and score early so you can get yourself into a groove and everyone will feed off of you. We cant have you waiting until the 4th quarter every night to get rollin. JTFan31
he is dead on money, I think anything inside a 15 footer is definite 2, the guy is pure money and who said he cant play D, 5 steals thats d-a-m-n good, he even punched the ball out of J. Kidd's drible when Kidd drove around him. I was surprise when he missed that inside the lane jumper on a fast break. I was also very dissapointed when JT and Big Dog were in a fast break together alone vs J. Kidd and cuffed the ball, that got me frustrated. Going back to Big Dog, no one in this league is mor emoeny than Big Dog from inside an 18 foot jumper, he is absolute pure money.
Sage11
I have to agree with everything the two of you stated, if we develop a motion o the guy will torch the east.
Gray Mule
Theo, as I expected, fouled out, but not before he made his presence known. Newble played very good defense and scored some, as did Theo. You can't just ignore these two or they can and will score. Meanwhile, SAR looked a lot like the old SAR, who had to fight double teams last season. Jason Terry finally warmed up and scored some, hitting all his free throws. With all this in mind, who do you leave open to guard Big Dawg? Any one of them can burn you! That was a real problem tonight and Big Dawg showed his shooting touch by scoring 30, playing good defense and collecting those assists!! Grabbing rebounds, making steals and gathering all those assists ?? Big Dawg ?? We were told he could do nothing but score --- So far, he's a lot more player than advertised. Fitting in well with his teammates. Last season, on T.V. , "The Stinger" would sometimes say of some player, "There's a shooter in the house." Hawks can say that about Big Dawg and much more. Premium Member Diesel Posted August 4, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted August 4, 2003 I'm not seeing muh change in JT from this date. I think however, that we have to look at coaching seriously. Howthis team is coached will determine a whole lot. Also, personnell wise, what are we trying to do?
