b3bawla
Here's a deal with us, Indy, and Toronto. ATL gives up our 5th pick and Childress TO gives up their 1st pich and Charlie Villanueva INDY gives up Jermaine O'neal ATL gets J.O. TO gets our 5th pick and Josh Childress INDY gets the 1st pick and Charlie Vilanueva This trade gives us a good big in his prime without giving up too much. It gives TO help in the backcourt (and on defense) while still giving them a shot at Barnani, Marcus Williams, or Roy. INDY gets rid of J.O.'s big contract and replaces him with two young versitle foward types (Vilanueva and Aldridge). What do you all think? Lascar78
We'd do it, Indy might consider it, no way in hell toronto does it. TO likes their first better than our 5th, and they like Villanueva better than they like Chill.
Teeareess
Toronto would rather have the 1st pick over the 5th pick, and they'd rather have CV or Chill.
JJJ
It might work if Villanueva wasnt involved in the deal... Atl- JO Tor- 5/Chillz Indy- #1 overall
jezmund
So we'd have no pick this year and be capped out. Hmmmm... no thanks...
Lascar78
but in that case there is no chance of Indy doing it.
b3bawla
How about you add Indy's 17th pick and Lue from us...to Toronto

I mean we're talking about Jermaine O'Neal here. He would solve our inside woes instantly.

Lascar78
definitely. JJ + JO would be a nasty inside-out combination
Premium Member Diesel Posted June 1, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 1, 2006 I think Toronto gets a whole lot more for that mediocre pick.
b3bawla
Yea that trade works a lot better if Chicago we implemented instead of us and offer Gordon instead of chillz
xhawk
champ4jc, I like the idea of this trade. Seriously, would Toronto draft LaMarcus, Bargnani or Thomas since they already have Charlie, Bosh and Arujo? It would seem like they would be building a team full of PFs the same way the hawks are building a team full of Forwards. The Hawks and Raptors should figure out something between themselves to help balance each team.
Lascar78
I agree with that general sentiment, but #1+CV for #5+Chill would not cut it for toronto. At the very least they would want 5/Marvin or 5/Smoove for 1/CV
