kudzu23
Had a feeling this one would end up in overtime somehow someway, even being 3 up with 10 seconds to go in the fourth. Travis Best was ate up and spit out. JT had Best sweating buckets 2 minutes into the game. The refs really missed some big calls out there. How at least one of three refs cannot make the call seems conspicuous. Reef clobbered in the first, JT hammered in the fourth. Terrible foul by Hendu when we had a 1 point lead with like 1:30 left. No way did that layup have a chance. Owell it happens. That James dude with the three to tie the game looked like a Tim Hardaway flashback.. The only thing Maloney is bringing to the team is a little bit of rest for JT. He cant get a play going for nothin'.. Ya gotta love JT's leadership, cheerleading, and comeback mentality no matter how the refs are treating him. A whole lotta heart in that guy. Lets see how overtime turns out. Go Hawks!!! cyman3
i started watching in the beginning of the 3rd quarter... heres what i noticed 1)ALAN HENDERSON is a good rebounder! plain and simple! 11 rebounds off the bench. The guy knows his FUNDAMENTALS... needs to teach the other guys simple stuff like BOXING OUT for rebounds! 2)Jason Terry is HUGE! he began our 4th quarter COMEBACK! his stats show him shooting 5-15, but it doesnt matter! he took it to the RIM hard when his teammates where looking lost... trying to make THINGS HAPPEN! PS- that one FOUL on his drive towards the basket should have been a FOUL!!!!!! 3)whats up with the shooting? im kinda confused? ATL 30-75 (40%) MIA 36-103 (35%) rebounding... ATL- 52, MIA- 53 HOW ON EARTH did MIAMI Have 25+ more field goal chances with only 1 extra rebound???? was it the TIP-INS??? do they count TIP INs as a FG but not a REBOUND? cyman3
a combination of ATLs 15 turnovers, 22 offensive rebounds for MIAMI, 9 steals MIAMI... but MIA did have 10 turnovers, ATL had 13 offensive rebounds, and 7 steals... and we didnt get 25+ more shots! any solutions??? Rick
Hawks had 5 more turnovers, 9 less offensive boards, but 20 more free-throws. This could be equated to around 24 more field goals attempts for Miami. Thankfully we are shooting well from the free throw line.
Guest
Was at the game and will post more tomorrow probably. But they, esp. Grant, killed us on the boards. It's why Theo got pulled and Hendu ended up playing quite a few minutes. We outrebounded them 10-3 in OT - before that, we were getting killed on the boards...
